Homosexual agenda 'tramples' religious freedom

A pro-family leader says it will only be a matter of time before Vermont's homosexual "marriage" law will be challenged in court.

Vermont's new law allowing homosexuals to "marry" contains strong religious exemptions. It states that members of the clergy are not required to "solemnize any marriage" and that the refusal to do so "shall not create any civil claim or cause of action."

The law also states that any religious organization within the state will be exempt from providing goods, services, and benefits if those items are requested as part of a solemnization or celebration of a marriage that violates the organization's beliefs.

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, expects those exemptions to eventually be challenged by homosexual activists.

"I think these provisions will end up being litigated because the homosexual activists have already shown that they regard religious-motivated so-called 'bigotry' against homosexuality...as discrimination," he explains. "So I see in the long run the homosexual activists will be taking these provisions to court."

LaBarbera cites an example. "The case in New Mexico of the Christian photographer who...didn't want to shoot a lesbian wedding, and now she faces a fine -- and she's still in court," he notes. "So we've seen that the...agenda [of the homosexual lobby] tramples religious freedom."

LaBarbera thinks Vermont lawmakers put the religious clause in the bill to make it more palatable. But he says it will be a "wait-and-see game" as to when the provision will be challenged.

I think it's pretty obvious that everywhere the homosexual militants have a legal victory, they try to push their agenda even further. As they try to push their lifestyle even into our military units, they are also trying to force it into our school system. Something needs to be done because even where they lose in elections, they try to force through legislation with pro-homosexual activist judges. Our religious freedoms are literally on the line.

I posted this on an earlier thread, but it is relevant here as well

This from the degenerates that gave us a new definition for the word teabag.

I just heard on CNN about 15 minutes ago a GLBT rep speaking about their outrage that a school blocked gay websites in the schools. She said, in a nutshell, that the ACLU would be taking on the school because you can’t block one side of a position only, you have to present both sides!

I laughed out LOUD! and screamed at the TV, HOW DOES IT FEEL!! WE CANT EVEN MENTION A DISCLAIMER THAT THERE ARE OTHER THEORY’S OF ORIGIN, LIKE INTELLEGENT DESIGN, HAVE A MOMENT OF SILENCE IN SCHOOL, OR WEAR A CROSS PIN IF YOU TEACH BECAUSE IT IS ‘PROMOTING RELIGION’, WE CAN’T HAVE A NATIVITY OR THE TEN COMMANDMENTS EVEN POSTED ON PUBLIC PROPERTY, AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO BITCH ABOUT NOT HAVING BOTH SIDES PRESENTED? In a word, go tebag yourself (if thats possible; I refuse to look up the definition)

Good point. The liberals want to ban any type of morality or spiritual topics from the school system. Then they turn around and try to force compliance with pro-homosexual propaganda indoctrination. They are the ultimate hypocrites.

First they got the Catholic Church out of the Adoption “Business”, now they are working on getting the Catholic Church out of the Hospital “business” (FOCA), next they will work on getting the Catholic Church out of the CHURCH business”.

good luck to them. We have been around an awful long time before any other government before or since. As the oldest form of government still in existence, they got alot of work to do to try LOL.

I do love being Catholic :)
