Joy Behar is just jealous that Susan Boyle has more talent and is a far more beautiful person than Behar could ever hope to achieve. Behar is pond scum.

Here's a clip of Elaine Paige singing I Dreamed A Dream.I hit post to fast. Meant to add that I personally like Susan's version better than Elaine Paige's version.

I’ve watched several times as well...I think this guy gets it too. It’s NOT just that a not very attractive (in the world’s eyes) woman brings down the house. The clip reveals the smugness of the audience who believed that someone who is not at all sophisticated or trained by vocal coaches could possibly succeed. They all wanted to believe that here was a woman who didn’t stand a chance and she surprised them totally and she moved them, and us, to tears.

Quiet witness ping... When I was a child, my Mother constantly would tell me, "Beauty is as beauty does." It was a sort of mantra, regularly repeated.
And of course, my Mother is so right about that. Susan Boyle is living proof.
And so is my Mother.
All glory be to God!
Thanks ever so much, TXnMA, for the ping!

Bless you for that wonderful post. What a great illustration of God’s love for us.

The trio of judges had to have seen her before she wound up on tv, so they knew what to expect. Their reaction had to be a put-on. The audience was genuinely surprised, though.

So very true. Thank you for sharing that dearest sister in Christ! And thank you so much for the ping, dear brother in Christ!
