Donaldson on This Week on JFK Assassination: I'd Like to Ask Castro 'Did You Do It?'

ABC's Sam Donaldson let a little of his inner-conspiracy theorist out this morning on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

In a discussion of President Barack Obama's lessening the sanctions on Fidel Castro's Cuba, Donaldson began his analysis with one of a number a Kennedy-Truther notions that have been knocking around ever since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963....

Another wild card in this crazy deck was Cuba's El Presidente, Castro. The theory being that Castro was upset with JFK's woefully planned and executed Bay of Pigs attempt at ending his nascent dictatorship, and therefore exacted his revenge by executing the 35th President.

Donaldson's buy-in for this house-of-cards game is apparently the Castro connection.

To wit:

Wouldn’t our old friend Dan Rather be the better choice to ask about the frequencies? ;)

This is all pointing to a theory I've had about the old Democrat in America. These liberals are Monarchists.

I think you're on to something with their natural affinity for monarchy.

There is a strong thread of slavishness or perhaps more accurately serfishness among the Democrat constituencies, which is contrary to the traditions of a nation founded on republican principles and the sovereignty and freedom of citizens. Which is why the Democrat leaders see it as important to bring into the country the uneducated, unskilled masses from Thirld World cultures in order to increase their constituency to a permanent governing majority.

Hence, the cult of personality built up around John Kennedy and the elevation of the family of a bootlegger and Wall Street banker to the status of literally "American royalty" among liberals - with the nonsense about "Camelot," "Princess Caroline," "Prince John-John" and so on.

Oswald did it. I know because nobody would have hired a nutjob like Oswald to do a hit like that.

My father wrote a book with a woman, Marita Lorenz who was a spy for the US who, she claims, was sent to CUBA to kill Castro. Fascinating story. But she fell in love with him instead. after receiving the highest advance for a book up until that time, the book was ultimately never published because of legal ramifications.

By the way, my father, who wrote intensively about the assassination and was working on a book about Jack Ruby when he died, subscribed to the single shooter story..always.

I believe the Monarchist thinking was greatly amplified in many old liberals after his assassination. It came about as a result of never having quenched the thirst of REVENGE for JFK’s murder. They won’t accept 9/11 because they were forced not to accept justice for JFK’s murder.

As long as these people live, they think it’s become their duty to seek out all those responsible for JFK.

This is becoming increasingly clear. They make movies, documentaries, TV, etc., because THEY CAN’T LET GO of it.

This is from a lefty, I admit:

http://crimemagazine.com/06/marcello,1019-6.htm

However, I do believe that the Marcello crime family MIGHT have been involved.

What some forget is the fact that the Mob was mad at the Communist and Castro for cutting off the Mob, from Cuban night clubs and Cuban gambling.

Anyway, interesting reading.

I do believe that the left wants to distance Communists from the JFK assassination.

But, really... will we ever know for sure?

_________

Let me ease your and other minds about this subject.

Yes, we know. Without a shadow of doubt. Oswald killed Kennedy.

There is more evidence against Oswald than there was against O.J. Simpson. It’s all there for anyone with the patience to R-E-A-D.

Calling the Kennedy assasination a “conspiracy” is just as stupid as calling 9/11 a “conspiracy”.

I agree, say good night, Sam.

More importantly, did you catch the interviews Stephy did with Rahm Emanual and John Boehner? Two of the worst back to back interviews in recent memory. I don't watch the Sunday shows on a regular basis for a variety of reasons. Stephy's attempts at playing the devils advocate and then hammering Boehner was about as boring and one sided as it gets.

Ive always wondered why the Cuba embargo is so longstanding when we trade with red China, Vietnam, Laos, even North Korea for heavens sakes. This always makes me wonder if we really know Castro did it.

On the other hand, i saw Fidel interviewed once. He said if it was ever proven that he was behind the JFK assassination that the USA would instantly invade Cuba.
I think he had a point.

Interesting topic though.

Can’t pass up a good JFK assassination thread.

The evidence is conclusive that LHO acted alone (See “Case Closed,” “Reclaiming History” and the more recent docu’s on History Channel and Discovery.)

Regarding whether LHO pulled the trigger, would an innocent man: be the only only one to flee the TSD immediately after the shooting; flee Dealy Plaza to catch a bus when he could have waited by the TSD to catch one; get off of that bus w/in minutes of getting on b/c the bus wasn’t moving; hire a cab to drop him off past his rooming house; change clothes in a hurry at his rooming house; sneek into a movie; resist arrest by trying to pull a gun on the officers?

One then has to ask why would anyone have an assassin shoot someone from their place of work? If the person flees, the police will know immediately who to look for. If the person stays, eventually the police will find the weapon and trace it back to the guilty employee.

The conspiracy myth got started b/c people on the left didn’t want to believe that JFK was not murdered for civil rights, but was instead killed by a marxist/maoist street agitator who had a man-crush on Castro. If LHO were alive today he would be wearing a Che t-shirt and be a DUmmy or a Kossak.

I wouldn’t buy into their crazy theories. RFK is dead too. His death had nothing to do with Castro. This is all mafia. You don’t turn your backs on them after they got you elected!

they simply can’t accept that a communist loser like Oswald

And that, sir, is the crux of the matter. The liberal media can't believe that another communist would take out their hero. Can't be true, so they need a different theory.

But she fell in love with him instead. after receiving the highest advance for a book up until that time, the book was ultimately never published because of legal ramifications.

I looked at the link you provided..., interesting... this part I caught a hold of...

For example, her testimony in a pre-trial deposition placed Lee Oswald in the Everglades training for an invasion of Cuba at a time when Oswald was known to be in the Soviet Union.

Now..., I’ve read that there have been multiple accounts of “Lee Oswald” being in two places at the same time and that the Warren Commission dismissed some of these “double” reports, considering that one of them would have to be wrong (can’t be in two places at the same time, can you?).

BUT, it appears that there was *another* Lee Oswald that the CIA used for “cover” for “Lee Harvey Oswald” to be able to go into the Soviet Union as a defector (but really be a double-agent for the CIA). And so, this other “Lee Oswald” shows up in other places, too, and this is used to discredit certain people’s testimony (as in, “you can’t be in two places at the same time”... LOL...).

IN FACT, at the Texas Schoolbook Depository building, it appears that there is another set of prints there that had not been identified before (but the prints were “taken” back then, originally...), but they were not from Lee Harvey Oswald (at the window where the shooting supposedly took place).

===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== ===== =====

And then you said — By the way, my father, who wrote intensively about the assassination and was working on a book about Jack Ruby when he died, subscribed to the single shooter story..always.

Well, there are good eyewitness reports as to other shooters being on the scene at the time, one over the railroad overpass, itsellf and another by the white picket fence by the railroad yard parking lot. Both of those reports seem to be good (at least to me). And also, it sure does seem that Kennedy was shot, finally, from the front and not from the rear...

Anyway..., it certainly won’t be “solved” on this thread..., that’s for sure... LOL..

I did see those interviews. Boehner had the “deer in the headlights” look the entire time and was unable to adequately respond. No wonder the GOP is in the situation it is in.

Well, while I can say that this statement definitely does reflect your attitude and thinking on the matter, and also, it certainly does reflect the thinking of the public, in regards to 9/11 — it does *not* — however — reflect the thinking of the mass of the public in regards to the JFK Assassination... LOL...

You’re in the minority, in regards to public opinion, on the matter of JFK... :-)

LBJ thought it was Castro and I’ve felt Donaldson has had connections to the Johnson White House.

I’ve always said that Central Casting could have never created such a fount of conspiracy leads as Lee Harvey Oswald. He did have *actual* ties to the Russians, the Cubans, the Mafia, CIA, etc. I mean, how many guys are you going to find with that sort of a checkered past?

I have poured over tons of JFK Assassination material over the past 30 years and my only real conclusions are a) Oswald was in on it and b) nobody seriously planning a conspiracy to kill Kennedy would have put a screw-up like Oswald anywhere near the heart of his plan. So either Oswald acted alone (which forensics seems to conclude) or that Oswald was set up to look like the killer but wasn’t really a key to the plot.

Regardless, the U.S. government executed a cover up to make Oswald the lone gunman whether he was actually the lone gunman or not because they were terrified where the leads might take them, up to and including a nuclear world war. So they made the facts fit the theory rather than letting the evidence lead to the killer.

Of more interest to me is how Donaldson can get away with the subtle hint of assassinating an American president when their savior is in office. Did the mohair farm take a serious hit in the bad economy, Sam?

I think the Commies did it. We were just not ready for WWIII. Can you imagine the carnage? the whole planet nuked in the 60s? I think our government buried this skeleton to avoid such a thing.
