A reporter with Radio Jamaica told CNN that officials on the Caribbean island would not confirm reports that the pilot of the plane scheduled to fly to Canada had been shot and killed.

“The gunman robbed the passengers?” In Jamaica?
Impossible! LOL!

If you ever win a free trip there - do not go. Dangerous toilet.

If you want aggressive people coming up to you every 3 seconds trying to sell you pot then rob you - you will love it. Just take out life insurance before you go.

I wonder how many of those travelers changed their travel plans from Mexico and went to Jamaica instead.

Jamaica frightened the bejeepers out of me. It's a really scary place to be for a tourist.

If you're thinking of taking a cruise and one of the stops is Jamaica, pick another itinerary or a different cruise line.

You can constantly feel revolution in the air there. The poverty is appalling. The men are sullen. Begging children besiege you as you walk. Some try to sell drugs or their sisters. Police in colorful uniforms patrol on horseback around the cruise ports.

Caribbean islands affiliated with Americans, British and Dutch offer comparatively safe and pleasant alternatives to visit.

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica — The gunman who took six Canadian crew members hostage on a CanJet flight at Sangster International Airport has been captured by police and the crew has been freed.

Police said the gunman boarded CanJet flight 918 after he breached security at Sangster International Airport late Sunday evening. He was nabbed after a tense eight-hour standoff at the airport, one of the largest in the Caribbean.

CanJet said none of the passengers or crew members have been harmed.

Hijacking over.

Jamaica spokesman took lessons from Baghdad Bob.

His comments were laughable. Oh, it’s nothing, could happen anywhere in the world. blah blah blah. After all, the hijacker is from around here and is known.
