You'll Love Diversity — Or Else
Jewish World Review ^ | 4/20/09 | Kathleen Parker

Racial and ethnic diversity is the key to happiness, success in the global marketplace and, not least, an interesting life.

So we are told in a batch of new "fair housing" radio ads that are the sort of treacly propaganda that cause sober drivers to run off the road.

Presented as a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, the ads were produced by the National Fair Housing Alliance, a private, nonprofit group whose stated purpose is to make sure the act is properly implemented. The act bans housing discrimination and imposes stiff penalties for those who get caught.

Lately, the fine intent of eliminating discrimination seems to have morphed into diversity advocacy.

I am no fan of RINO Kathleen Parker. However, I am fan of truth even if it comes from a RINO. It reminds me of how Dennis Prager described the difference between authoritarianism and totalitarianism. An authoritarian government will tell you there are things you cannot do while a totalitarian government will tell your what to do. I fear our nations is falling into the latter camp.

Actually they are telling you how to think. What if a person were to (gasp!!) only feel comfortable around people of their own religion, culture, ethnicity or skin color? Who is the government to tell them this is wrong? What if a person were a racist? What should be their punishment for this thought crime? Why do black racists (think Rev. Wright and Jackson) get a free pass?

Kathleen Parker is not necessarily a Rhino she is a bitter professional woman (BPW) and a sometimes confused and not so well read self hating Republican. She often reiterates the same stupid prescriptions for how Republicans can win or why they lost that is indistinguishable from the left she associates with. Both she and Peggy Noonan have a similar problem. They spend too much time chatting with liberals and burying heads in the media so it isn’t surprising they start believing some of the stuff. I don’t believe Ms. Parker wants gay marriage or is pro-abortion but I think she is like many among us unwilling to fight on those grounds because that is what her friends on the left have reached a consensus on and she has probably found that it is impossible to discuss such things with them.

I agree with her entirely that conservatives far too often make religious arguments when they should be making reasoned arguments. Gay marriage and the sexual activism of the left is not just something that one should oppose because they are religious. Homosexuality is a the very minimum a behaviorally incorrect practice and the idea that those that have various peculiar ideas and behavior concerning sex should be given special protections and special consideration is crazy and a disproportionate response to any injustice afford to such individuals. Not even people of color are afforded the kinds of protections sexual activists want.

What Homosexuals and their allies want is very dangerous and is not just about marriage but is about the very protection of political speech. They desire a world where no one can even discuss the very real rampant problems in the gay community whether it be promiscuity and spreading disease like no other group to the unsettling truth that so many homosexuals have been molested or raped sometime in their formative years when they were first developing their sexual identity. I know of more than one case personally where this occurred.

We can say the same things about abortion or the radical environmentalism. All these issues are trumped up leftist crap with very little real substance but what is interesting is to see that even though the left can’t claim that opposition to Al Gore is a religious issue they soon move on to comparing climate skeptics as if they are Holocaust deniers. So individuals like Ms. Parker had wake, this isn’t the simpletons religious dilemma they make it. They will soon find themselves muzzled all the quicker if they muzzle themselves with mediocrity and nice watered downed arguments.

I still don’t like her personally because I’ve never seen her or Noonan spend a tenth of the venom attacking liberals as they spent attacking Sarah Palin. Not ever Republican that we disagree with is an Rhino sometimes they are just candidates for the local kennel.

Diversity is the doublespeak term for moral colonization, and the liberal tactics aren’t all that different than the tactics used by the Islamists, which pretty much explains what we’re dealing with.

I wore my “Celebrate Diversity” T-shirt today. Along with that statement it has pictures of about a dozen different handguns, from a .32 Beretta Tomcat to a Ruger 44 Mag. Drives Liberals nutz when I wear it.
