CIA's Questioning Worked
the washington post ^ | April 21, 2009 | Marc A. Thiessen

In releasing highly classified documents on the CIA interrogation program last week, President Obama declared that the techniques used to question captured terrorists "did not make us safer." This is patently false. The proof is in the memos Obama made public -- in sections that have gone virtually unreported in the media.

Consider the Justice Department memo of May 30, 2005. It notes that "the CIA believes 'the intelligence acquired from these interrogations has been a key reason why al Qaeda has failed to launch a spectacular attack in the West since 11 September 2001.' . . . In particular, the CIA believes that it would have been unable to obtain critical information from numerous detainees, including [Khalid Sheik Mohammed] and Abu Zubaydah, without these enhanced techniques." The memo continues: "Before the CIA used enhanced techniques . . . KSM resisted giving any answers to questions about future attacks, simply noting, 'Soon you will find out.' " Once the techniques were applied, "interrogations have led to specific, actionable intelligence, as well as a general increase in the amount of intelligence regarding al Qaeda and its affiliates."

Specifically, interrogation with enhanced techniques "led to the discovery of a KSM plot, the 'Second Wave,' 'to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into' a building in Los Angeles." KSM later acknowledged before a military commission at Guantanamo Bay that the target was the Library Tower, the tallest building on the West Coast. The memo explains that "information obtained from KSM also led to the capture of Riduan bin Isomuddin, better known as Hambali, and the discovery of the Guraba Cell, a 17-member Jemmah Islamiyah cell tasked with executing the 'Second Wave.' "

"And the Obama administration's decision to share this secret with the terrorists threatens our national security. Al-Qaeda will use this information and other details in the memos to train its operatives to resist questioning and withhold information on planned attacks."

It’s all about The O. He’s a narcissist. He could care less if he endangers the USA, he doesn’t even think about it. He just wants accolades from the world for his niceness. THat’s why he goes on apology tours, and releases these memos.

"President Obama's decision to release these documents is one of the most dangerous and irresponsible acts ever by an American president during a time of war -- and Americans may die as a result."

IF bamster won’r officially allow the classified memos about specific terror plots detected and thwarted to be released- then for once, I hope leakers go to work

The reason they are classified is usually to protect sources and methods-— a rationale no longer needs ot appply since Barry released the sources and methods to the world and rendered them useless (or worse) for future intelligence

Anyone who works in Library Tower- heads up

Al Qaeda never abandons an unfinished operation- they just come back later. Its now Barry Soetero’s job to prevent that

Obama is not American

Truer words have not been said. This man does not have 1 American value. He was raised by radicals and chose to surround himself with radicals later in life when he had a choice.

he goes on apology tours
Please.
apologize |əˈpäləˌjīz|
verb [ intrans. ]
express regret for something that one has done wrong : I must apologize for disturbing you like this | we apologize to him for our error. ORIGIN late 16th cent. (in the sense [make a defensive argument, offer a justification] ): from Greek apologizesthai ‘give an account,’ from apologos (see apologue ). In English the verb has always been used as if it were a direct derivative of apology.
Where do you see in that definition any reference to actions for which the speaker takes no responsibility?

Those aren't "apologies," they are attacks. They are attacks on the reputations of those in whose name he "apologizes," and especially on the reputation of anyone who upholds the work (read, the Constitution) of those for whom he "apologizes."

And they are arrogant boasts of superiority over those for whom he "apologizes."

Obama is not American. No American would do what he does.

Unfortunately, there are MANY traitors in our midst who would gladly do the same thing.
