Be sure to note the idiotic comments at the end by some of the posters. Makes me ill!

Because Free Republic is a forum where you can post your beliefs about anything- even a movie. I didn’t insult anyone. I didn’t degrade them- I posted my opinion. If you’re looking for uniformity of thought- try DU.

Xer Ping Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.

Better get a DVD/copy pretty soon. Undoubtedly, the way things are going, it will be on the emperor’s “proscribed” list by this time next year.

Swayze was vastly underrated as an actor. "Point Break." Great movie.

“that movie stunk.it was a good movie.”
No sense there.
To: Krankor
Yeah, well at FR, I can ask why you felt the need to post it. No you did not degrade anyone, but sort of unfortunate as it really was more of a tribute thread. However, I did not tell you to go to DU...I just ASKED YOU WHY—which as I said before, IS OK :(

I’ve seen the movie at least 10 times on TV. It has an addictive quality not unlike (but not as strong as) The Godfather which I must have seen 25 times.

I recorded it to dvd long ago.
I still think Mussolini's Italy's version of Ayn Rands "We The Living" ("Noi Vivo) is superior.

I was in the Infantry when this movie came out. Real soldiers loved it. I have always been hoping for a deluxe DVD set of it, lets hope the remake is good.

About as cheesy as the “A-Team” or those “Iron Eagle” movies.
The only positive was the effort on the Soviet vehicles.
