President Obama’s national intelligence director told colleagues in a private memo last week that the harsh interrogation techniques banned by the White House did produce significant information that helped the nation in its struggle with terrorists.

“High value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al Qa’ida organization that was attacking this country,” Adm. Dennis C. Blair, the intelligence director, wrote in a memo to his staff last Thursday.

Admiral Blair’s assessment that the interrogation methods did produce important information was deleted from a condensed version of his memo released to the media last Thursday. Also deleted was a line in which he empathized with his predecessors who originally approved some of the harsh tactics after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

So, Obama proudly takes on the mantle of ‘moral superiority’ with regards interrogating criminals who have been responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, but had no problem voting against a bill designed to prevent partial birth abortion. The democrats should not be allowed ‘ever’ to shroud themselves in the mantle of ‘principle’. They don't have any.

"Banned Techniques" makes it seem like they were banned at the time.

The whole premise that harsh torture does not get results was and is bogus. Like global warming, someone stood up one day and said it was fact. Then the left and its media propaganda organs simply repeated the talking point over and over and over again.

To the propagandized and intellectually challenged American public (at least 53% of us) it bacame “truth”.

And isn’t it ironic that the commies are the ones pushing this drivel. They, along with every other totalitarian regime whose torture often led and leads to actual death, are the very people who use it as a matter of it against their own citizens for one thing and one thing only—to retain their grip on power.

This is exactly what goes through my mind every time I hear the whining about waterboarding. There was a sadistic fellow at our pool who would splash water in our mouth at the exact time that we surfaced from a game of porpoise catchers, ie. underwater tag. I can truthfully say that I have been through the equivalent of waterboarding, I thought I may die, and learned that it wasn’t lethal!

The only problem is the techniques are going to br used on and against us. By “us” I mean Prople who belive as I do, most of the people that are on this forum, legitament gun owners, Conservatives, Christians, Jews, former military, and people who believe that it is wrong to murder unborn and partially born babies.

Then they will begin using these techmiques on their own. History has shown that when a Nation has “leaders” that enjoy killing, they cannot stop killing. the muslims, communists, and National Socialists were and are the latest examples.
