It’s fine with me, though it would be nice to have to have two separate mailboxes, one for ping lists, and one for replies to your own posts. I can see how that would be technically difficult, though, since often posters will hit “Reply” to one post and also type in the names of one or more other posters who have been posting to the same thread. That sort of “ping” I consider to be an actual reply, because I’m being included on account of something I specifically said on the thread, even though my post isn’t the one the poster directly hit “Reply” on.

Ahhhh, I think I get it. Getting pinged, and you look at the "to" list and it has a few names followed by "...". Such as

Scythian to kenth, SolidWood, blah, ...

The "..." is just a designator that there a more names pinged, but not all being listed. It means you're on a ping list, one of many, too many to be listed individually. When they paste their list in, it gets turned into a few names with the "..." at the end.

So, as the Mod said, you're on a ping list. You can ask to be taken off.
