The border for dummies

The border for dummies National Post  Published: Wednesday, April 22, 2009 Can someone please tell us how U. S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano got her job? She appears to be about as knowledgeable about border issues as a late-night radio call-in yahoo. In an interview broadcast Monday on the CBC, Ms. Napolitano attempted to justify her call for stricter border security on the premise that "suspected or known terrorists" have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border, including the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack. All the 9/11 terrorists, of course, entered the United States directly from overseas. The notion that some arrived via Canada is a myth that briefly popped up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and was then quickly debunked.

These days it seems to be pure politics and very little of good or wise skills. The current Administration seems to be as Dem/Liberal/Progressive as it possibly could be. I am praying that it would be even more so and that would be unable to stop themselves. This in the hope that America would repent from abandoning the Ten Commandments and it's turning to the God of socialism and man.

The idiot also believes that illegal immigration is a misdemeanor.

It’s like the entire Obama administration is in daily competition with each other to see who can be the biggest buffoon.

Informed of her error, Ms. Napolitano blustered: “I can’t talk to that. I can talk about the future. And here’s the future. The future is we have borders.”

And the left called Bush dumb...MY GOD

Requirements for jobs in the cabinet appear to be so vague, it's beginning to be a focal point for other countries and news venues outside of the USA to note.

Canada more lax than US about whom it lets in, Napolitano says

Snippet: Napolitano digs deeper hole

"The fact of the matter is that Canada allows people into its country that we do not allow into ours," she said.

"That's why you have to have a border, and you have to have border policies that make sense."

Liberal MP John McKay, who was at the conference, said Napolitano's comments alarmed him.

"If you are, in fact, negotiating a managed border, and your negotiating partner believes a set of mythology, then you have problems," he said "You try to work on the basis of fact, not on the basis of myth."

Saying Canada is lax about whom it allows into the country is "plain nonsense," he added.

"I have a heavily immigrant riding, and I do visas all day every day, and one of the most difficult things I have to explain to my constituents is why is it that the United States granted a multiple-entry visa to the relatives but Canada won't," said McKay, who represents the Toronto-area Scarborough-Guildwood riding.

My own apology tour:

Dear Canada,

I apologize that the stupid voters, the other people’s money grubbing voters, the communist wanna be voters and anyone else (you know who you are) voted for this disaster and fraud for President of the most powerful country in the world. Unfortunately this huge mistake will be very difficult to correct and we will all suffer the consequences. Let’s pray that enough of us have come to our senses when we finally have a chance to rectify this mess.

A fish rots from its head.

I shudder to think of how mis-run the DHS is going to be with this clueless individual at its head. I can only hope that the professionals at the DHS will be able to perform their jobs adequately despite her manifest incapacity for her positon.

Much as I despise Janet, I have to say there is a fact there - Canada does let in people whom we wouldn’t, and that’s why they are in Canada. There are former members of the Tupermeros and other ultra-left terrorist groups from Argentina in Canada. A friend of mine in Toronto is married to one of them. and she has a LOT of friends up there with her.

“suspected or known terrorists” have entered the U. S. across the Canadian border.

Who the “Trailer Park Boys”?

How did she get her job? Easy! It was a two-fer-one deal. Not only did Hussein hire a dependable, left-wing loon, he also accomplished part of the pay back he owes the homosexual community for the megabucks it gave to his campaign. Nothing complicated here!

That’s interesting. I’ve heard that If you have a DUI or some other problem on your record Canada won’t let you in. Not that a DUI isn’t a problem but hardly the same thing as being a terrorist.

We love you Canada! because we know that inside of you there is a freedom-loving people who want to get out from under the dead weight of socialism.

Please don’t interpret the antics of the Napolitano Gestapo as representing the American people. She’s a commie stooge of Rahm-it Emanuel, the Ballerina Barracuda.

The national crime databases of Canada and the US have been linked. When you travel to the US from Canada, they can run your name and if you have ever been arrested in either of the two countries since about 1970, it will pop up. Be prepared to answer some questions or be turned back either way.

I have a friend whose son was greatly embarrassed by not being allowed into Canada and he’s travelled over the rest of the world with no problem.

But they let terrorists in? I remember they would let US military deserters in.

I like Canada...a gorgeous place, especially B.C.

We don’t let deserters in any more, MOF several have been deported. During the Vietnam war, deserters were extradited on request by US authorities but draft evaders were allowed to stay; this mirrored US policy toward Canadian deserters and draft evaders from 1939 to 1941.

RE armed forces deserters. They are allowed into the country if they are not flagged and tagged at the border. We have an extradition treaty with the US. If they are charged with desertion, they are extradited back to the US.
