My favorite is killed by .38 cal bullet to head with .45 cal pistol in hand. Definitely a suicide.

I think speculating that he was murdered is a bit ridiculous. (unless you’re accusing his wife)

He's been with Freddie Mac for many years. I'm going to guess that when the full story comes out, he was one of the architects of the current collapse of the housing bubble. He at least had more personal honor than Bernie Madoff, who is sitting in jail, hoping for a Republican administration to give him a pardon.

If the rest of your life is not worth living, due to either debilitating disease, or incredible shame with a strongly likely prison term, then why live it? This individual obviously made that very calculation and came up with the same result.

Though not of AIG vintage it looks like he did, ala Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa, the "honorable thing".

Freddie Mac and sister company Fannie Mae plan to pay more than $210 million in bonuses in 2009 and 2010.

So will Barney and friends haul those folks before Congress and berate them like they did with the AIG folks? THAT should be interesting to see, since it was Barney and his friends who set these corporations up in the first place.

Yeah - all that April Fools stuff was really tricking me. That April Fool article about the President of the United States of America giving the Queen an ipod got me good! And the one where Obama asked for the resignation of the CEO of GM - and GOT it! Some of these Freepers are really good with funny articles and the satire.

Oh - and the photoshop experts! That photoshop with Obama bowing to the Saudi King - pretty creative stuff!

Who knows sometimes. The search function defaults to “keyword”, so freddie probably didn’t come up.

That's what happened. Search was designed by geeks for geeks. Normal people just don't think in terms of "Keyword*" when they're trying to say something in English.

HOWEVER, I take full responsibility for the dupe -- I could have shifted out of English logic and into Search logic but I have a stubborn streak and believe computer interfaces ought to be redesigned for human users, not vice versa.

Probably shouldn't get me started on this...

Is it confirmed suicide ... or could it be Obamacide ?

Brings new meaning to the term "Political Suicide."

Maybe he just felt some appropriate shame over what he might have done to screw the economy into the ground.

Get real, chief. Not likely.

In Japan, this would have been normal.

This ain't Japan.

It's what Chuck Grassley referred to about a month ago.

A thought-provoking observation. Good on chuck for promoting such "honorable" behavior, eh?

Exactly! Fox said “someone” called 911 at about 5 a.m.

Wonder who decides which 911 calls wind up on YouTube.
