NEW YORK (AP) - Nearly three in 10 Americans say Fox News Channel has been too critical of President Barack Obama.
Pollsters for the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press found a partisan divide. Forty-four percent of Democrats say Fox has been too tough on Obama, while 18 percent of Republicans said that.
Either way, Fox has a winning formula: Fox News has solidified its hold on first place in the ratings since Obama took office, with Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Back's shows doing particularly well.
Although MSNBC has positioned itself as a left-leaning network in prime time and CNN says it tries to be nonpartisan, an identical 16 percent of Americans each found those networks too easy on the new president.

Pew questioned 1,000 adults over the past weekend. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
I’ve heard that Fox has higher ratings than CNN and MSNBC combined.
So if 3 out of 10 think Fox is too hard on Obama, does that mean that a solid majority, 7 out of 10, think that they are even handed or too easy on him???????
hahaha . . . if we were talking about W’s approval ratings it would read “less than 3 in 10 . . . “
Obama is losing ground fast. Stay vigilent.
That tells me more than 7 out of 10 recognize what Obama is. And yes it is worded the best they can with what there is to work with.
all the other networks are a vast circle jerk
So that means 7 of 10 - a HUGE majority - don’t think FN is too hard on zero. Then these MSM pukes wonder why their “businesses” aka donk propaganda machines are cratering...
The headline is BS. Nevertheless, the fact that 9 out of 10 don’t think MSNBC is too easy on Obama shows how stupid people are.
If someone told me this headline actually existed as written, I wouldn't have believed them without seeing if for myself. The AP is just a vile, unabashed, in-kind contribution to the Obama reelection committee.
Interesting that 56% of Democrats don’t think they’ve been too hard Ozone. Nearly the margin that Obama won the election by and they think they have a mandate. So what this means in their terms is that Fox isn’t hard on him at all. LOL
Maybe we’re getting somewhere.
I’m beginning to hear the gnashing of teeth.
I literally laughed out loud when I saw this headline.
I wonder if the converse, "Over Seven In Ten Americans Think Fox News Is NOT Too Hard On Obama" would sell any newspapers? AP would never print that headline, so it's hypothetical.
See how easy it is to steer public perception?
Wonder what that poll would say a year from now.
That’s a good and honest interpretation of the numbers. But the headline spinned it that 7 of 10 are like that Youtube video “Stop picking on Britney” where the metrosexual was crying over people to stop picking on his/her idol.
Of course, they won’t question the alphabet MSM factories.
Well, if the opinion of less than 30% of the population warrants a headline, there could be some REALLY interesting ones thrown about.
"Nearly one in ten say Obama not to blame for terror attacks in New York, LA, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix and Atlanta."
Excite dot com... wow, that surebrings back memories
After what the pigs at the alphabets, CNN and PMSNBC did to President Bush, that “3 in 10” can all kiss my ....
