If she were a devout Muslim instead of a devout Christian, do you think they would have dismissed her for her religious views?

Not a chance! They would be afraid to, that's not the case with Christians because we don't harm, or kill, people who disagree with us.

PM - thanks for the ping. The more I see this garbage playing out the more concerned I am about the future for my children. We have fallen so fast and so far I'm not sure we are going to turn this around.

We.... can't.

So, basically,

she is being punished for her beliefs, not for any overt discrimination.

Be thinking about a “reset”.

Secession, re-affirmation of founding principles, start over with the base Constitution & Bill of Rights, and STRONG safeguards against encroachment by those who would dismiss those principles.

Amen, and I do pray for it.

What I see is govt taking on the traditional masculine role of providing and creating order within a family. In the Black community we see what this has done and now it's spreading to the rest of the country.

I sure do agree about limiting the fed govt. I doubt any states will be allowed to secede.

Nothing in this article states specifically that the dismissed student was a devout Christian. There are other possible reasons why she may have refused to "affirm" the client's homosexuality.

Not in a million years. The primary target of acceptable discrimination today is clearly Christians. I laughed when I read this:

EMU spokeswoman Pam Young released the following statement this morning: "Although Eastern Michigan University does not comment on pending litigation, we are a diverse campus with a strong commitment not to discriminate on the basis of gender, race, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression."(emphasis added)

EMU is clearly discriminating against the grad student based on religion. There was an "easy out" to this situation, but the school instead chose to actively discriminate.
