He was convicted in 1999 and sentenced to death. In January of 2001 he waived all further appeals and asked for his execution to be carried out. He was executed 6 months later. All people sentenced to death get an execution date set within months of the the verdict. It is always lifted when an appeal is filed. When he refused to appeal the government executed him on schedule. No mystery, no conspiracy, no black helicopters. You people need to get a grip.
