While many in Hollywood ridicule her, scores of Americans are now applauding Miss California's stance against same-sex marriage – including one Alabama lawmaker who drafted a resolution supporting her.

Me too. After I heard how nasty he was about the Miss USA thing, I lost the little bit of respect I had for him as a businessman. He’s just not a nice guy.
I didn’t see it. Are you saying Trump neither defended her nor criticized her? If he did neither that’s interesting considering how the PC zealots are demanding her head.

I’ve always looked at Donald Trump with disgust. What a cretin! Why anyone would admire him or want to work for him is beyond my understanding. He is a soulless predator.
My regards to Miss California. She did the right thing. Not an easy feat these days.
If he did that, Trump’s running scared of both the homomafia and the regular folks. Kind of encouraging to see our side finally get some equal footing in the culture war.

This was such an obvious set-up. How can a gay man be justified as a female beauty pagent judge? Maybe a lesbian, but a gay man? Even in California that seems to be grounds for a lawsuit, for obvious negative bias. Not to mention that the question itself is so intensely political and bitterly contested that no other question was even remotely in the same category. Then, when you put the gay man together with that particular question, and give him power to deny her the crown based on his political bias... she should sue his, and the tournament’s, asses off.
How could Donald not take a stance on a judge calling one of his contestants a dumb bitch....Trump was a complete disgrace. Trump likes to play both sides, but that was outrageous. Trump usually shows some reason, but I lost complete respect for him.

Trump called it an honest answer and said some people would love her answer and some people would hate it. BO asked two or three times if Trump would hire that judge again, and never came close to answering the question.
One, Mr Trump, did you have any knowledge of the question that was asked of Miss California?
Two, Mr gay clown judge, how did you get picked to be a judge? Was Mr Trump involved in your selection?
Three, Mr Trump, without the Miss California controversy, would it be clumsy for you to push your latest goofy book on all of the major networks?

Trump is scared. He doesn't know how to handle this situation. So he's pulling a Sgt. Schultz ("I know nothing!") and so he looks like a total wuss. Grow a pair Donald!
Well, let's consider the fact that many of the beauty pageant contestants want jobs as models. If successful, they will be coiffed, dressed, accessorized, and designed for by gay men. Their pictures will be incessantly snapped by gay men, both the ones they get paid for, and the ones that wind up in tabloids.

I'm in complete agreement. Donald Trump is a showman of the P. T. Barnum school of thought. He deliberately put the most "look at me, look at me" pansy he could find in a position to ask a lightning rod question of a religious person who really can't string too many words together without sounding awkward. (Did your parents have an "opposite marriage"?)
It's all about dragging in an audience for Trump, his Apprentice gig is getting a bit old. These days, people really don't care that much about Miss Anorexia shows, so he had to toss in a grenade to liven things up a bit.

Trump is only symbolically wealthy, through high profile real estate holdings, which at this point are cascading into foreclosure at a dizzying rate. He exists on "OPM" (other peoples money) and it has evaporated. He now seeks a media existence.
