In a 2007 Chicago Tribune interview, Barack Obama said, Im a Christian. And so, although I try not to have my religious beliefs dominate or determine my political views on this issue ... my religious beliefs say that marriage is something sanctified between a man and a woman.
Miss California, Carrie Prejean, at the April 19, 2009, Miss USA pageant, said: We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but thats how I was raised. Carrie Prejean, first runner-up to Miss USA, holds the same position on gay marriage as Barack Obama (at least for his 2008 campaign), Joe Biden, John McCain, Sarah Palin, Hillary Clinton and the majority of Americans, according to polls.
Miss USA judge and Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton (real name: Mario Lavandeira) forced his own political agenda onto the nationally televised Miss USA pageant when he asked Miss California if she supported gay marriage. An out homosexual who traffics in outing closeted gays, gossiping and trashing celebrities, having Hilton as a pageant judge hired, presumably, by NBC was hardly an accident. After all, this is the same guy who in August 2007 excitedly reported that Fidel Castro had died. Fidels cold heart, unfortunately for Cubas political prisoners, still beats. One does not have to be a professional media critic to see through the transparent agenda of those who placed Hilton/Lavandeira on the judges panel. Surely they knew what they were getting with this gadfly, and were hoping for Jerry Springer-esque controversy and fireworks. He did not disappoint.

And the difference is?
Miss California meant it.
Yeah, one comment he got out before the teleprompter kicked in. Today we would get a five minute commentary filled with ahs and you knows obfuscating any point he could be tied to.

Isn’t that interesting...
And conversely, they knew Obama was lying and they were good with that.
Obama also said the same thing at Rick Warren's church a few months before the election. No controversy whatsoever, of course. But Prejean saying essentially the same thing is somehow controversial. Why? Because when Democrat politicians speak, everyone (including their most ardent supporters) figure they're lying. ...and they're fine with it. Lying is a way of life for libs.
“something sanctified between a man and a woman”
-—look at a picture of him and The First Bee-yotch
and shake your head in wonderment at where we are as
a nation......
I wonder who wears the underalls in that family.
When BHO says such a thing, every single person who hears him knows immediately that he is just saying the words and lying for political convenience. People do not resent it, because there is no real intent to deceive.
He’s lying. We know he’s lying. He knows we know he’s lying. We know he know we know he’s lying. And for some strange reason, that makes everything OK. Like it’s all some kind of game.
That’s it. Homosexuals have known all along that Obama’s lying when he says he opposes same-sex “marriage”. They’re okay with that because they know he had to lie to get elected. And once elected he’ll maneuver to impose same-sex “marriage” on us.
This point was made 5 days ago. Kind of late to the draw.
“Lying is a way of life for libs.”
They don’t believe in absolutes. So if there is no absolute truth, then lies come very easily and frequently. No problem.
Rick Warren, to quote Michael Corleone, is nothing to me now. He gave Obama cover for his so-called Christianity. He will remain nothing to me until he starts taking Obama to task for being a fake and a phoney.
Interesting point. So, in a sense, we should take the persecution of Miss California as a compliment. When, in the view of Liberals, a Conservative beauty queen has more credibility than a LIberal, Democrat President of the United States, it says a lot. They understand that Conservatives are generally honest, while Liberals are generally liars.
Thanks for the compliment, Perez.
As my pastor used to say, “I hate to be an I-told-you-so, but I TOLD YOU SO!”
My wife recently admitted to me she was concerned I was a bit over the top on the fag issues especially when I told her they are trying to mainstream this nonsense. Those conversations were in the early 90’s. She added she is now certain I had good instincts. I did not say I told you so because I would rather have been proven wrong on this issue.

When you stop to think about it beauty contestants are all really quite vulnerable young women. Each one goes out to be questioned much like a duck goes into a shooting gallery. One could say that comes with the territory. However, sadistically aiming a deliberate gotcha question at a thoroughly decent young woman, who never attempted to hurt the questioner in the first place, is just beneath contempt. Those who put that evil slug in the position to ask the question are even worse.
Agree. If you want to run a class-act pageant, then don't cheapen it with no-class emcees.
Lavandeira is probably horribly jealous of those young ladies. He “feels” like a woman but looks like Jaba the Hut.
