The new Israeli prime minister recently appeared to give President Obama a blunt ultimatum: Stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons - or we will.
Benjamin Netanyahu's challenge smacks of unrealistic bravado and, worse, it appears to be a crude attempt to bully an American President into bombing Iran's nuclear installations.
The consequences of a unilateral Israeli strike would be enormous if not disastrous. Mr. Obama cannot allow himself to be intimidated by Mr. Netanyahu, nor can he wink if the Israeli air force bombs Iran's nuclear facilities.

Iranian DM Hails New Era in Iran’s Missile Capability, Says, ‘If We Feel Threatened, We Will Respond Decisively’
Iranian Defense Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar has said that the country’s missile capability has grown so much that production of missiles like the Shahab should now be considered a thing of the past.
“The knowledge of the Iranian specialists is now beyond [the technology needed for the production of] Shahabs,” Najjar said, on the sidelines of a cabinet session in Tehran yesterday.
He added that his ministry’s specialists “have promoted Iran’s defensive power significantly by producing such a new generation of missiles as the Sejjil.”
Najjar also highlighted Iranian Armed Forces’ military might, saying, “If we feel threatened, we will respond decisively.”

Form the time they are little kids, Libtards are worried about a bully attacking them.
Put the shoe on the other foot, and look who turns out to be the bully.
All one needs to do, is watch who they attack, and listen to how they attack
to learn their techniques and tactics.
Just an early morning thought.

No it's not. Not if Obama can "negotiate" Iran into it - like he claimed.
Can you say oil $250.00 bbl?
I knew you could!
The author is a moron who ignores reality, and therefore should, himself, be ignored.
Oh no, not *****THAT*****!

Yes military action with Iran will have at least short term economic consequences. It won’t be easy, and even harder when they have a nuke.
We should have pressured Iran more directly after we rolled into Iraq. Syria was making nice out of fear. Iran was the bridge we failed to take.
Look for Obama, who promised to defeat the Taliban in Pakistan, to lose Pakistan and then say Iran doesn’t matter because the extremists already have nukes.
“Not if Obama can “negotiate” Iran into it - like he claimed.”
Unfortunately, Walt Rodgers has already signaled the futility of Obama’s seeking to dissuade Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons:
“Israel would be bombing until the Shah comes home to merely delay what is an unstoppable Iranian nuclear program.”
I fear that Obama’s view of the world is much closer to that of Rodgers than of Netanyahu.
I think Israel would prefer to have U.S. blessing, but the U.S. is increasingly seeking openings with former enemies -- even to the point of tolerating diplomatic insults, and proving itself an unreliable ally to former friends. Israel might decide it will never have a better advantage in the correlation of forces, and that a nuclear-capable Iran would be a real threat. Not a posturing, MAD-based deterrence threat, but a real, cataclysmic, turn your sand into glass and your people into vapor threat.
I don't see Iran as the kind of country that would be deterred by MAD -- not if the leaders could survive, and assure its people that inciting the end of civilization would guarantee them 72 virgins. That would be totally in keeping with Ahmadindijad's (sp?) belief system.
The question that comes to mind frequently is: what are they waiting for?
It’s possible that whatever they WERE waiting for, the Israelis now have missed the bus.
Maybe a strike on Iran never was feasible after all. Maybe it isn’t yet. Maybe it just never will be from this point on.
My admittedly fallible gut tells me they will not hit Iran.
I'm not sure there are many options available to the Israelis involving the number of aircraft needed to simultaneously strike multiple dispersed targets.
