I hate United. Worst airline in history. I will do a little happy dance when it's gone.
I have a friend who is a pilot at United. He is a wonderful Christian man with a beautiful family. He is also a decorated former navy pilot. I would hate to see him loose his job.

they will continue to do business as they distance themselves from the toxic AIG parent brand, which eventually will go away. About the time it becomes necessary to pay some of the debt, to the fed are the tax payer.

Yes, I think crocs are great. They are very popular with doctors and nurses as they are antibacterial, you can wash them in the washer, and they are cushioned for long hours on the feet.
I have 3 pairs in different colors. I am not sure about the quality of the knockoffs, but obviously the cheaper prices affected Crocs sales. I, too, was surprised to see the knockoffs on the market in such a short time.
Crocs can survive if they cut their prices in half. They have made their fortune, and I think they can survive with a lowered profit.

There's a Borders near my house (5 minutes). Used to love to go over there and browse books and CDs, and occasionally buy a cup of coffee. I got annoyed with them when I noticed they carried NO CONSERVATIVE MAGAZINES at all. Not National Review, not American Spectator, not nuthin'! I wrote to them about it, and they replied that most conservatives subscribe to their magazines but most liberals buy off the rack at the store (BS). Also, they pared down the classical CD section to almost nothing, so I stopped going there for music.
Eventually, I began to buy most books, CDs and DVDs from Amazon. I read a lot of nonfiction, and can find what I want easily online. Still, I will miss Borders. Even though I seldom go there, it was nice to browse and enjoy a cup of coffee. But, I could have run the place better. Books are sold pretty much at MSRP.
I'll also miss Eddie Bauer. I am 6'5" tall, and have bought a lot of clothes from them over the years because they carry tall sizes. I still wear a lot of EB clothes, but not as much as I used to. Their prices are sky-high, and now that J.C. Penney has tall clothes, I get a lot from them.
So, i guess I am sad to see some places close, even though I never shop there anymore.

Just duh wondering . . .
Did Caesar write down on his passport that he was born 100 B.C. ?
Kinda always wondered about that.

Actually there is a bit of a debate about when Caesar was born. Both the biography by Suetonius and the one by Plutarch are missing the opening chapters which would presumably have given his year of birth by naming the consuls of that year, but Suetonius says that he was in his fifty-sixth year when he died (in chapter 88 of the
Life). His birthday was definitely in July--that's why that month was renamed in his honor.
Normally a Roman was supposed to be at least 42 when he became consul, so some have argued that Caesar must have been born in 102 since he was consul for the first time in 59 B.C., but there may have been a rule that patricians could hold the office two years early.
