NEW YORK The swine flu virus that sickened a 9-year-old Ohio boy is the same strain as the one that has killed up to 86 people in Mexico, an emergency official said Sunday. Laboratory tests by the Ohio Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the case matches the deadly strain, said Lorain County Emergency Management Agency spokesman Clifton Barnes.
Health department spokesman Robert Jennings said the boy has a mild case of the disease and is recovering at his home in Elyria, in northern Ohio's Lorain County. The child's name was not released.

Close the borders? Why should we close the borders?
Kid showed symptoms on Wednesday and attended school Tuesday through Thursday. Thanks Mom and Dad.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the socialists in the executive and legislative branches of government used this as an excuse to deny large public gatherings such as the tea parties.
They can’t be blamed for Tues, and likely not Wed. He may not have been showing symptoms when he went to school. Thursday, however,.....no parent should send a kid to school the days they’re first coming down with something.
Problem is, he was most contagious those days.

I was curious about symptoms, and thought I’d check this out. It’s the link to CDC if anybody is interested.

I guess he visited several Mexican cities ;-}
If the child is only a little bit ill, most schools prefer them to be there. Think it has to do with funding (not paid for that child if the child is absent). Parents no longer can use their own judgement on some of this.
The big question in a time like this is do you trust your gov’t to tell you the truth ?
