Sen. Specter Switches to DNC; NO MORE EXCUSES DEMOCRATS
Flopping Aces ^ | 04-28-09 | Scott Malensek

I always try to look for a silver lining on a cloud. I try to see both sides of the coin, and to be positive. That's a lot harder today, BUT it is not impossible!

Senator Specter is switching from a Republican to a Democrat, and this gives the Democratic Party absolute power in Washington DC. They now have full control of the White House and both Houses of Congress as well as a filibuster-proof majority. That means they can pass and do anything they want, and no one can stop them except themselves.

Therein lies the silver lining.

It's been 100 days for President Obama It's been well over 2 YEARS for the Democratic Congress

While tomorrow is day 100, Thursday is day1 in a completely new respect: THERE CAN BE NO MORE EXCUSES

Nothing washes, nothing is credible, no scapegoating can work. Democrats have absolute power, and while-yes, some things take time to fix-not everything does. As such, on Thursday, President Obama, the Democratic Party, the House Democrats, and the Senate Democrats (complete with their favorite tool of the day, Sen. Specter) will have either accomplished SOMETHING significant, or they will have failed.

So while NBC, Kos, HuffPo, and Obama fans everywhere might look misty-eyed at The One on Wednesday with spin and claims of "Best President Ever" the reality is that on Thursday morning he will have accomplished absolutely nothing after Democrats spent $12000000000000.00 and have absolute power.

The only thing that Democrats will succeed at doing is turning the United States of America into a third world country.

I just listened to Sphincter belittle Republicans for not backing RINO’s like himself.

What is the sense in backing people who are democrats in disguise.?

I say screw em lets take advantage of this to get rid of the whole stinking bunch of RINOs. Sphincter speaks of purifying the party.

Let’s get er done.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely!

If we all can just hunker down for a few years, we are in for another Reagan Revolution or a 1994, at the very least.

Ah, well. One can dream...

The best comment heard today about the Specter defection:

“If Senator Blutarsky decided to become a Republican in exchange for Senator Specter, the Republicans would have the better deal.”

Just when the hunters are ready to commence a righteous RINO hunt, the RINO decides to turn himself into a flaming, pinko flamingo!

Dems control the executive and legislative branches. Now they’ll push Stevens, Souter, Breyer and Ginsburg to resign from the Supreme Court so that Obama can stack it with 50 year old liberals.

Don’t worry, the yellow bellied RINO isn’t quite endangered at this point. Still plenty of hunting to do.

Those 50 YO liberals better be hetero. From what I've read, not many gays make it past 50.

And you just know the GLBT lobby will be demanding a seat on the bench.

They still have the rest of Obama’s first term to blame the Republicans for their failures. That’s pretty much been the modus operandi of both parties.

Now we hope he stays alive long enough to get his ass kicked by Pat Toomey in the general election.

Yeah, but those 50 year old liberals will be living under Obama health care. And I’m sure that the “we’re all equal” dems will put them at the bottom of the list for any surgeries or care they might need. (yeah, right!)

Rhino’s are the reason my family and I are independant conservatives. The R no longer stands for conservatism but just watered down versions of the socialist & globalist agenda of the demoncrats. Rhino’s are 80% of the party even here in MT.

“Democrats have absolute power...”

If rats had absolute power, you’d have no freedom of speech or the 2nd amendment and your children would have been forcefully dragged off to obuma indoctrination camps.

The rats are scared sh*tless, including the fat stroke candidates in their clown ninja suits at the ATF and FBI. I’m still waiting for my rat representatives to show their fat, useless asses for a town meeting.

Hold the line, Starman.
