Nine cases of probable swine flu have been tracked by the Illinois Department of Public Health so far, five of them in Chicago, including a 12-year-old girl whose case prompted today’s closing of Kilmer Elementary School on Chicago’s North Side.
Illinois Public Health Director Damon Arnold said all nine cases are “mild.” But city health officials said the girl at Kilmer has been hospitalized, though they indicated her condition appears to be improving
