...and his sky-high ratings among African-Americans make some of his positions appear a bit more popular overall than they actually are.

Excuse me? If the man gets a 65% approval rating, including a 100% approval rating from 15% of the population, he still has a 65% approval rating.

Unless the Washington Examiner is implying that African-Americans don't count towards Americans overall.

Yo, you realize that that “100% rating” among blacks you yapped about is really a “80% rating”? Yet you take a fake for a fact and run with it. Yowsa, yo-yo! You are yanking our chains.

Plus that racial rating really is obviously based only on Obama’s orgins, yo-yo! Not on his performance of character, on his RACE. That’s why we will introduce that it is important ingredient to factor fully in polling punditry.

Correct.
But then I still haven't forgotten the sky high high percentage of African Americans who strongly backed OJ Simpson after he'd murdered Nicole and another guy in cold blood.
The message is clear: Africans Americans will back the devil himself..so far as the devil is black. Nothing else counts as far as these people are concerned.

Unless the Washington Examiner is implying that African-Americans don't count towards Americans overall. “

He implied nothing of the sort in the article. You put it there all by yourself.
