Surely one of the worst jobs in Washington is that of cleaning up after the Human Gaffe Machine, AKA Joe Biden . . .
On shovel duty today at the White House, press secretary Robert Gibbs made a laughingstock of himself as he asserted what Biden “meant to say” regarding swine flu. The press corps didn’t merely titter at Gibbs’ travails. They outright laughed in his face at the press sec’s tortured attempt at vice-presidential revisionism.

JOE BIDEN: I wouldn’t go anywhere in confined places now. It’s not Mexico, it’s a confined aircraft where one person sneezes and it goes all the way through the aircraft: that’s me. I would not be at this point, if they had another way of transportation, suggesting they ride the subway. So, what it relates to is mitigation. If you’re out in the middle of a field and someone sneezes, that’s one thing. If you’re in a closed aircraft or closed container or closed car or closed classroom, that’s another thing.

Goofball Gibbs' vocabulary does not extend beyond Vinnie-isms: "What?” “Where?” All he knows is “I have no knowledge,” I wasn’t aware,” “Nobody informed me". Watta jerk. The goofball should spare us that nerdy smirk.
Insipid freewheeling fools now run our country---thinking they can say or do anything they want without explanation---like the $328,000 flyover. Their unmitigated contempt for Americans, and for our democracy, is astounding.

When did he EVER, EVER say that to a Republican ?? Nope, if it was one of Bush's press secretaries, there would never be a "with all due respect" moment, he would have gone for the jugular.
It'll be interesting to see how much longer he is on the WH press corp, if he doesn't end up in Fort Marcy Park soon . . . .
