Third parties don’t work; in this country, anyway.
- - - - - - - -
IIRC, the Repubs started out as a ‘third party’.

[Romney] has the smell of Arlen Specter, opportunist extraordinaire, about him.
- - - - - - - -
I wondered what that horrible smell was....

Show me someone I can fall in love with, and tell me why YOU fell in love with them, and maybe the rest of us will be in love too, rather than spewing hate in all directions at multiple targets. - - - -- - - - - - -- -- - Yeah, and we can all grab a coke and teach the world to sing. . We need to clear the junk out of the party first, then lets see who is still standing.

Another thing, the mittbots will complain about how the Obamabots worship at the feet of the messiah, yet some of them show signs of the very same worship of Mitt.
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Exactly. The worship I see of Mitt reminds me a lot of the worship of Zero.

I wish that Romney would build up some experience of conservative governance. Moving back to his old home of Michigan, nowhere near as liberal as Massachusetts, running for that’s state governorship, and governing as a low tax, pro-family, limited government conservative would do wonders for his reputation
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Only to have him flip flop once he gets the WH. He is the type of politician we do not need, and have put up with for FAR too long. The kind that will SAY/DO ANYTHING to get elected.

It all seems sooo impossible right now, just as the popping of the previous bubbles did, but this time it's really going to leave a mark. Especially when you add the Democratic Social Security bubble that is going to pop, as well...at the same time.

Yeah, but it’s not too early to start weeding out sure losers like Romney from the “who” list. Jim Robinson is right: we need to start fighting against Romney NOW so that he’s not in a position to drain and weaken the coffers and resources of truly worthy candidates down the road.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Agreed.

You don't have a future candidate. With logic like yours, Ronald Reagan could resurect and you'ld find a problem with him. What?

The CP’s Ron Paul foreign policy is a nonstarter.
To: meandog
Yeah, people swore up and down that they would never support McCain, but in the end they changed their minds. After four years of Obama, we will support whomever the Repbulicans nominate.

Wow, what a shock... Someone as objective as you (your hates even in your taglne) provides an objective view.
- - - - - - - - - - -
And your slobbering over Romney shows your “objective” view. NOT!

If he runs as a solid, unabashed conservative and wins.
- - - - - - - - - - -
Even if he is just lying to get elected?

So she truly believes that illegals should receive amnesty? She wasn’t just saying that to tow the McCain line?

Same here. She really needs to clarify her position on illegals if she is to gain the support of conservatives.

There are TONS of folks Id support before Romney
- - - - - - - - - - -
Oh PUHLEEZZE! All you have done on this thread is pimp Mitt. You are laying on so thick I am wondering if Mitt is reading over your shoulder.
And I do not have to give Romney credit for anything. Because he hasn’t really done anything except flip flop.
Does it even occur to the Romneybots that Mitt is intentionally LYING to everyone?

Ad hominem attacks are always the last resort for a losing viewpoint. Keep up the good work AGR! It is time to move on from this and get back to the original intent. I propose we run separate threads for each possible candidate. It is discussion like this that truly brings out the best information.

Romney is a good person....neither will I deny that he is a good conservative
- - - - - - -
No HE ISN’T. How is supporting the killing of babies and homosexuality being “a good person”, and he sure is not a “good conservative”. You just like him because he is Mormon.
