Did the Hartford Courant comply with the Columbia School of Journalism style rule - which mandates that you not mention a malfeasant Democrat’s political affiliation until at least the 3rd paragraph of the story?
It is never any sort of safe move for a man to offer a woman a ride anywhere, drunk of sober, if she is not his relative or his wife. When she got in the car he should have called the police. Giving a woman a ride gives her control over a man’s life should she go for it. All she has to do is cry “rape!” or these days, “sexual harassment!” and she owns him. For the same sort of reasons I do not understand men who teach in classrooms with female students.
