Among the people President Barack Obama is likely to consider to replace Justice David Souter:
U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan, a former Harvard University law professor.
Judge Ruben Castillo of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Pam Karlan, a law professor at Stanford University.
Judge Margaret McKeown of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco.

U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan - with her vast courtroom experience - she’ll be a shoe in. /s

Oh, please, please, take Deval Patrick out of MA!
I would like to see him out of here too...but as a result of a kick in the pants by the voters next year. Even the moonbats have stopped chanting "Yes We Can". Patrick has a sad 33% approval rating right now...I'm even wondering if he'll survive the primary!
He would be the worst kind of Supreme Court justice. It would be straight line ideology...he would base every vote on political correctness. He wouldn't even need a law clerk. Cases? Constitution? No, he'd feeeeel his vote.

What, no Harriet Meyers on the list?
My bet is Medea Benjamin.

Kim Wardlaw would be an excellent choice. If O’s going with a woman, hope he picks her. Diane Wood and Sonia Sotomayor are not so excellent but still very good choices. Wood is way preferable to Sotomayor though. I think we can probably rule out the politicians and law profs for this seat.

Are any of these candidates homosexuals?
Seeing as there is sort of an affirmative action mentality on the SC, it might be argued that Souter has the “gay” seat. Oh, wait, he’s not an open homosexual.
Just a “confirmed bachelor.” Ahem.

Just so long as WE don’t have to fool with him anymore! He’s so incompetent, he probably wouldn’t be the instigator of too much on the Supremes.

I guess it depends on who has the most money to spend on the seat...

He would be the worst kind of Supreme Court justice. It would be straight line ideology...he would base every vote on political correctness. Then he'd be no different than any other nominee put forth by That One, but he'd be a lot less smart, or competent.

Sotomayor will be the next Justice on the SCOTUS.She would be ideal for Obama. She gives a bigger middle finger to the constitution than Ginsburg.
