You mean, Mass. governor.

I like the kook from the 9th Circus. The 9th Circus is always good for a laugh or two. Especially when they are dealing with legal decisions. The SCOTUS could use a little humor right now.

Headline reads: “A look at potential Obama nominees to high court (Includes NY Governor Deval Patrick!)”
I thought Deval Patrick was Mass. and that Paterson was NY.

Surely you can’t be serious. Deval Patrick is the governor of MA not NY. I don’t think David Paterson is even a lawyer.

So this list is cast in stone, just because the AP says so??
Extremely premature, and nothing more than news fodder at this point. In fairness, I doubt that the Administration even has a long list at this point....
In any case, I thin Obama’s biggest problem will be his own Democrats in the Senate....not the Republicans....

Actually, the article misses a few nominees rumored to be on Obama's short list...
- - Mickey Pfleger,
- - Cindy Sheehan,
- - Ward Churchill,
- - Daniel Ortega,
- - Cher
and his very favorite...
- - Bill Ayers
.

Kim Wardlaw would be an excellent choice. If O’s going with a woman, hope he picks her. Diane Wood and Sonia Sotomayor are not so excellent but still very good choices. Wood is way preferable to Sotomayor though. I think we can probably rule out the politicians and law profs for this seat.

Are any of these candidates homosexuals?
Seeing as there is sort of an affirmative action mentality on the SC, it might be argued that Souter has the “gay” seat. Oh, wait, he’s not an open homosexual.
Just a “confirmed bachelor.” Ahem.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
I guess it depends on who has the most money to spend on the seat...
