SOUTH BEND, Ind., May 1 /Christian Newswire/ -- "On Friday, May 1, during the Board of Trustees and Board of Fellows meeting, five prolife activists pushing strollers containing bloodied baby dolls with Obama bumper stickers were forced to leave Notre Dame. Two of the five were arrested; the others were asked to stop their protest.

"If the murder of one class of citizens were not legal in our country, then our fight would be unnecessary. However, the mass murder of the unborn is sanctioned by our legal system, with the full encouragement and support of the President and the silence of the American people," one of the activists explained.

"Notre Dame cares more about its reputation than being true to its Catholic identity," said Randall Terry. "If a man said he was going to kill your child, or pay to have it killed, would you politely ask him not to? These are real human beings that are aborted every day. Our strollers are intended to yell, 'PLEASE STOP."

More anti-Obama demonstrations are planned for tomorrow and the following days leading up to the May 17 Commencement. Catholics and prolife people across the country are working to prevent Obama from speaking there.

The display wouldn’t have had any effect anyway. Liberals are so barbaric and depraved that they have completely and totally dehumanized the young. They could see a dead baby lying on the street and it wouldn’t even phase them. The only thing they value is themselves and those who most closely share their own image.

i would say perhaps trespass, disorderly conduct, failure to follow a lawful order, resisting arrest, harassment, etc...

I can’t find any news reports indicating what the charges were. Lots of possibilities, yes.
Anyone knows for sure? Please let us all know.

Disgraceful. If the Board of Directors would listen to the complaint, rather than contentedly and smugly enjoy their notoriety, there would be no need for protest.

Anti abortion activists are harassed, expelled, imprisoned. The nation's foremost exponent of the Culture of Death, on the other hand, will be welcomed, honored, celebrated. Notre Dame, how low can you go? Our Lady weeps.

Arrested? For what?
Fr. Jenkins should be arrested for lowering the ethical standards that defend the sanctity of human life at ND.

Trespassing.

"Terry was arrested about 12:20 p.m. near Notre Dame Law School for violating a campus no-trespass order Notre Dame had issued him earlier in the day, university spokesman Dennis Brown said."

Trespassing. The campus is private property.

Randall Terry damages his cause continously. Complete moron. He’s got a majority of 60,000 alums pissed off, including this one who’s on the same side.

Ah yes, but Trustees are another animal. Trustees don't want trouble. Slows the money coming in. They can't stand the institution to be associated with trouble in any way, even if they think they are in the right.

I feel for your annoyance. And I'm not exactly endorsing slopping up baby dolls with catsup—I think it's sacrilegious, in a way—but a pie in the face just now is doing ND bunches of good.
