A Month in the Life of George W Bush (news and photos): May 2009

All of April and the start of May 2009 find us still being bombarded by the media hyping up the first 100 days of President Obama with no sign of it dying down. Following the introduction to the monthly thread I will post some photos to remind us of the first few days of the first May of the George W Bush Presidency - those were the days.

The quote I have chosen for this month are remarks made during Commander-In-Chief Trophy Event at the South Portico on May 4, 2001.

Tomorrow I will post some more photos from May 2001 I am sure we will see the contrast what we see and hear from the first few months of the Bush Presidency to the Obama Presidency will make us realise even more so how much more respect and love GWB had for the office and the country and more importantly the individual citizens rather than just special interest groups as the current President does not even bother to try to hide.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

One difference....this Zero never has any military personnel
at the White House to honor them.

Maybe they don’t want to be there.

It was so nice to have an adult in the White House. Whether I agreed with him or not. Thanks President Bush.

He never even expected everyone to agree with him all the time. He just did his job, never faltered and never looked back!

Yes....an adult!

It is hard to understand but we have to hold on to the fact that all things work for good for those who love Him.

GW’s big mistake was letting Wall Stret run wild. This paved the way for 0bama.

None the less these photos are from a much better time. 0bama is a foreign schemer with no loyalty to America

0bama is competely devoid of emotions - like a machine. No humor. No compassion. No humanity. A blank slate of nothingness. A fake.

George Bush was funny, clever, thoughtful, respectful, strong, and a straight-up guy. Sure do miss him.

Thanks! It makes me smile to see our cowboy. I suppose he
gets to hang out now without all the fuss and bother. I know
he prefers it this way!

....even if he DOES have to clean up after Barney himself! LOL!

IMHO the military will respect the office of the Presidency with Zero but I very much doubt they will respect him.

In this case....he doesn’t respect them
and the troops know it and don’t respect him!

I can’t even bring myself to call him “president”.

I agree with you! I think some of the World Leaders laugh behind O’s back!

on the wife! Ugh!

“I can’t even bring myself to call him “president”.”

I simply call him the current occupant of the White House. :)
