When I did my taxes with TaxCut, there was a screen that asked me questions about whether or not I bought stuff in another state(s) or online that I needed to declare and pay taxes on.

it’s called use tax folks, it’s constitutional, I worked at revenue for 5 yrs

Maybe disabilities act? Reasoning - those who can’t get out to shop can buy online but have to pay POSTAGE. If they have to pay tax plus postage they are being unduly burdened. I’ve heard more ridiculous things.

This also burdens those who live far away from population centers and shopping sources.

If hunters take a holiday and don’t go hunting and don’t buy deer tags etc. it will wreck a lot of states’ budgets.
