Risk-taking is only a problem if the risk-taker is insulated from its consequences.

“Risk-taking is only a problem if the risk-taker is insulated from its consequences”
How true.
We are going to become a nation of 1/2% interest rate for everyone except the wealthy will get to buy financial vehicles which has little risk and great returns.
Welcome to the Proletariat.

What a flaming hypocrite. If you look closely, HALF of his administration or more has worked on Wall Street at some point. I just read yesterday that Rahm Emanuel had a brief career as an investment banker. WTF does Rahm Emanuel know about banking?
I'm sure if you dig, most of the rest of them have done it, too. What's going on in America today is that if you're a Democrat who's ever been in a position of high influence, you go to the Wall Street banks, get a job there, get paid a huge amount of money for doing NOTHING, and Bob's your uncle, you're a rich man (or woman). Then you turn around and excoriate Wall Street for its greed and corruption.
I hate these people more every day. My "I hate liberals meter" is getting a bent needle.

Obama and his ruling Communists MUST be removed from power or somehow neutered! They are trying to destroy our country!
Can't people come up with enough solid evidence of fraud and corruption to send them to trial, convict them, remove them from office and JAIL these idiots for the rest of their lives?

Lottery tickets are a financial instrument of
"massive leveraging and the massive risk-taking that had become so common," The typical 0bama voter is not going to like this.

Do all us FReepers feel safer knowing that Obama believes that he (the government) can eliminate the risks in our lives?

Were so screwed...but, I feel a slight tremor under my feet. Joe and Jane Six-pack arent going to take much more. :) I'm not sure people have yet to understand that the Wall St vs Main St thing is all about conditioning them to hate corporations and free enterprise. They still think Big Pharma is screwing them and they still think Big Oil is screwing them or will in due course (yes, they totally ignore that as the price of oil dropped off a cliff so did gas). As long they continue to buy into this Big <blank> BS and continue to say, "there oughta be a law/the government has to do something about this," Obama and his ilk will be successful in destroying our system.
