I got a "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN"? from the RNC

I got the same form letter. RNC got their first contribution from me when they announced Sarah Palin. Unless they show me they are serious about the issues that matter to me, and in advancing candidates that are truly conservative, they will not get another penny.

The sales pitch is, if you send us money, we'll come up with great candidates! I am sorry, but it works exactly the other way around. Why should I fill the coffers for them to potentially support candidates that I cannot, in good conscience, vote for?

The RNC seems to want a TARP-like bailout of their own, with no subsequent accountability to its donors. Maybe if the funds dry up they will start to get the message.

No, the pitch is if you don't give us more money, we will give you even worse candidates. At least that is what I get told quite often.
