Personally, I think he does this deliberately so that he can't be pinned down. His supporters believe in his motivations and work tirelessly to explain what he really meant.
My question is this: don't we need a candidate who can communicate with knifeblade clarity? Even if Romney's motivations were pure, how can we support a candidate whose communication style is so consistently open to misinterpretation? IMO, that alone disqualifies him.
Exactly! We definitely need a candidate that when they speak we know exactly what they are saying.
I agree with you that he does it deliberately so he can have someone parse what he said. I am tired of parsing by any Republican. If they cannot speak with clarity and we have to be told what they meant, then they need to sit down and shut-up.
Really tired of the people that want to be our spokesman. I want a Jim Inhofe or Tom Coburn type that is not afraid to tell it like it is. At least you know where they stand on an issue and don’t put a finger in the wind to see what to say.
There are a lot of phonies within the political class. We must expose them every chance we get.
When a politician has to continually clarify and parse, it's a good indicator that he has been talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Ann Coulter and Rush are particularly good at exposing these frauds.
