Yes, but if they took THAT seriously, they would honor CCW’s from other states, too. No, the governments get to pick and choose, alas.
Then again the various states don’t necessarily honor other states medical, legal, engineering and architectural licenses. Didn’t know what CCW meant, so I Googled it and found this very useful site about reciprocity among the states for Conceal and Carry Weapons:
