Complained to AFP. I'm sure they already know and heartily approve.

Young, bright, UN worker superimposed on smoking Gaza photo by - guess whom - Mahmud Hams. Top link in Google News, spreading the good propaganda for the Web 2.0 sheep.

Doesn’t look particularly fake to me. Could use a few well-placed stuffed toys though.

And just think; Getty doesn't permit their images to be used on FR.

Going to make exposing their deceipt and propaganda a little harder.

Looks like the "refugee girl" shot against the blue screen right out of Wag the Dog.

The young lady could use a little dust on her, the bright red sweater is so nice and clean given what she is running though.

Do you have links to examples of other fraud by Mahmud Hams?

He should have reversed her before he pasted her on top. She’s lit from the left but the rubble is lit from the right.

It looks more staged than fake when they show the whole photo:

Sure took her a long time to decide to run for her life. And the photographer just happened to be there at that very instant, when she ran directly to him.

I agree, it looks fishy. The lighting seems “off”, as though the woman and the background weren’t taken at the same time.

There is sophisticated software that can spot photoshopping. I think anything out of the Middle East, especially if it’s intended to cast Israel in a bad light, needs to be closely scrutinized.

Still, I say, “So what?” Hamas insinuated themselves among the civilian population and the U.N. facilities. The Israelis have an ABSOLUTE right of self defense. It is incumbent on the civilian population to throw off the yoke of Hamas if they don’t relish the consequences. It is incumbent on the U.N. not to provide human shields to terrorists.

Till then, TS.

There is something very obvious about the photo that I had to look for. The logic. It is likely a forgery (or set up) in my opinion. The girl appears to be moving in an urgent manner (running) trying to escape something.

There is a firefighter in the back ground leisurely hosing down some debris. The fire seems to be out and and there is smoke and debris in the area. Where was the girl that she is just now running from something? She is not covered in soot so she hasn’t been in the smoke and debris.

Based on the source, I am skeptical to doubtful.

Yeah, I think it’s likely staged, but not Photoshopped. He found her somewhere nearby and brought her to the site and told her to look terrified. He found out that we laugh at all the stuffed animals he places around bomb sites.

It’s a good thing she ran out of there when she did. Otherwise the photographer would have missed the shot.

Whatever the event was is long over, it makes you wonder why the photographer would even be there. Without that incongruous woman, there is no photo at all, just the same old boring aftermath of a fire.

I don’t even think she looks terrified. Seems to me she has the wary expression of someone carefully walking through an area with a lot of obstacles.

She looks like she’s walking uphill (or stairs). Almost as if her right hand is grasping for a rail...

Yep! And whi is she now running, when stuff has obviously been brurning for some time, and where is she running out of? There’s hardly anywhere like the inside of a building she could be coming from. She’s probably just returning from giving the weary firefighter a bottle of water because he’s been on flare-up watch for a couple hours.
