It looks like Lauria [Fmr. Attny. for Perrella Weinberg in the Chrysler debacle]is feeling the heat from the WH apparatchiks.
What a wuss.
He had plenty of opportunity to take back his remarks but he didnt. It’s obvious to me that he told the truth and his client wasnt happy about it. He’s been told to stop revealing their decisionmaking process and is complying.
Lauria [Fmr. Attny. for Perrella Weinberg in the Chrysler debacle]and bigtime DemocRAT contributor, is about to be thrown under the Bus Caravan.
Not a wuss.
He has put his firm’s reputation on the line and his personal reputation and future on the line.
I say he is a whistleblower, and as such, has Federal protection.
I called my Congressman who is on the Financial Services Committe and demanded Mr. Lauria be allowed to testify before a Congressional hearing.
It would be helpful to have others do the same.
I just remembered: Austin Goolsbee, the White House spokesmouth who denies this ever happened, is the same person who lied during the campaign about telling the Canadians to ignore rhetoric about renegotiating trade agreements ... He claimed he never made such statements but evidence was produced that he did.
I find Luria more credible.
Pay attention to the last thing he says to Megan...keep pressing and the truth will come out.
The WH has told Perrella Weinberg if they want to have a future in business they had better cooperate with the WH’s Chrysler strategy.
Perrella Weinberg has told Case and White to shut Lauria up.
Lauria went on Fox [with Case and White’s blessing?] to send a message...without saying much he said a whole bunch. The White House is big-time dirty.
Lauria, an active donating democrat, is in a tough spot right now.
Ugly stuff.
That would be White & Case:

Oops, thanks...I hope White doesn’t mind.
The thugocracy prances onward, aided and abetted daily by the fifth columne enemedia. Kudos to Neil and Megyn for trying to give this man a fair forum to reveal the truth. His denials to speak on the topic further are very revealing when connected to his previous comments and the dutiful media conveying the affirmative action figure administration’s threats.
What does surprise me is that he would do the interviews with Cavuto and Kelly, knowing that he was going to be asked to stand by his original story and knowing he couldn't say he did. Those interviews could accomplish nothing positive and would surely compound the original error.
This is frankly not the kind of judgment one would expect from a top lawyer at a firm like White & Case.
Oh really? R U x pert?
What’s that supposed to mean?
I agree 100% with Blau993's points. They are the exactly the same thoughts I had after watching the Fox video - and I assure you that "I am x pert."
No, he is simply being a lawyer. He had a choice between money and telling the American people the type of people they elected to the highest office in the land. Sadly, he chose the money. Come to think of it isn't what the law as devolved into, a choice between money and truth?
has he actually appeared with Cavuto? They have been promoting it for three days now. Did he no-show yesterday?
Cavuto is on the link with Lauria.
I suggest you imprint “Yam X Purt” on your letterhead then.
It didn’t take an expert to have those thoughts. Such consideration is normal. But some lawyers are sharper than others, and think further down the line.
Laurie needed to get this out there. Worst case scenarios are closer than they seem.
"While many stakeholders made sacrifices and worked constructively, I have to tell you some did not," the president said. "In particular, a group of investment firms and hedge funds decided to hold out for the prospect of an unjustified taxpayer-funded bailout. They were hoping that everybody else would make sacrifices, and they would have to make none."President Obama also said of Lauria's clients, "I don't stand with them. I stand with Chrysler's employees and their families and communities. I stand with Chrysler's management, its dealers, and its suppliers. I stand with the millions of Americans who own and want to buy Chrysler cars. I don't stand with those who held out when everybody else is making sacrifices."
Megyn Kelly and others are asking where the evidence is that 0bama threatened Thomas Lauria's client. Aren't the above quotes 0bama doing exactly what Thomas Lauria accused 0bama of threatening to do? 0bama is speaking to the press and he is smearing the investors. That is exactly what Lauria said his client was threatened with.
