I may be mistaken, but Emmanuel, Feltman, and Shapiro are all Jewish names. Is that not correct?
There was a post earlier that excerpted World at War, which recounted Jewish soldiers that fought for the Nazis showing the prison guards the medals they won fighting for Germany as they were shoved into the gas chambers.
I would think those would have been WW-I veterans, not WW-II, I've read of that happening to them. By the time the shooting started in WW-II, Jews were no longer welcome in the German military, nor much of anywhere else under Nazi control.
