Iran Launches Airstrikes Into Iraq
The Weekly Standard Blog ^ | May 4, 2009 | Weekly Standard

(snip)

"To say this complicates the Obama administration's diplomatic outreach is to put it mildly. This administration -- in fairness, not unlike the last few years of the Bush administration -- seems prepared to make an endless series of concessions to Tehran in order to secure a peaceful resolution of the nuclear issue. Yet despite these repeated overtures, the Iranians refuse to budge even an inch and instead make announcements of more centrifuges and new missiles. Now they're launching airstrikes in Iraq."

Why have we heard nothing of this in the MSM?

Hey, it's only the Kurds, so it's not nearly as important as Obama's burger meal yesterday.

Thanks. I know some of the history. Frankly, I have always liked the Kurds...becaused they helped our troops and are not Islamist radicals.

i saw this reported the other day and was thinking the same thing - why isn’t the MSM all over this?

because it´s no big deal. Ok a headline like “Iran attacks Iraq” draws attention but if you dig a little bit deeper you will find out that for example Turkey has (and contines) attacked this region for years now and nobody cares.

The Kurds, AFAIK, are the “Medes” of the “Medo-Persion empire”

they’re still trying to come up with a way to blame Bush while Obama drafts his apology.

Good point. Looks like Obama is trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq. Bombings increasing everyday..now Iran and Turkey acting out. The Arab League is now upset over the Iranian bombings:

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2009-05/06/content_11324352.htm

Looks like things are going to hell in a handbasket over there and the American media is trying to hide it from the American people to protect ZERO!

but do YOU care. you are basing your caring on whether OTHERS care. You should have your OWN opinion of whether you care, regardless of what has happened before.

You’re British right?

Hell, Oboma probably funded it. Oboma was born and raised a radical Muslim.

Oboma is forcing Sharia law on our banks and auto industry right now as we type. Check out sharia banking for yourself.

If he's not pro-Radical Islam, then nether is Osoma Bin Ladin.

Even the Shah of Iran attacked the Kurds.

I would not call having US troops protecting the airspace over that part of Iraq for over a decade, ‘not caring’.

Why have we heard nothing of this in the MSM?

Speaking out against their Messiah would be blasphemy (and that's not meant to be a joke).

Iran should have been a sea of glass a long time ago.

Well they definitely did not protected the kurds against turkish air and ground attacks in the past or present time. so i would call this “not caring”. it´s no secret that turkish war planes often fly into iraqi air space to bomb them.

I think Obama will probably have to resort to sending a strongly worded letter now.

Even though Iraq has called for complete US withdrawal very soon, attacks are increasing in the country and Iran will do everything it can to destabilize the Iraq government so Iran can take it over which is just one part of their plan of dominance in the entire Middle East. Destruction of Israel will follow or precede that move.
