COLORADO SPRINGS - A judge in the Springs is throwing out a case which could have allowed concealed weapons on CU campuses.
Judge G. David Miller's action means the University of Colorado can continue to ban the concealed weapons on their three campuses, including UCCS.
The lawsuit had been filed last year by a student group. The three students behind it argued their constitutional rights were being violated.
Boy, I’ll bet the illegal carriers will see the signs and leave their weapons at home. That’ll show the bad guys . . . real big signs!!!
The sheer stupidity of it is beyond comprehension. The adult school I teach at has NO provisions or procedures to follow if there’s a bad guy in here with a gun. But, we DO have a sign on our doors telling us the punishment if a LEGAL-CARRY gun is carried into the school. THAT we have . . . but no way to defend ourselves. Sheer stupidity all around!
Want to bet what is in those backpacks and briefcases.
Just this afternoon, Wesleyan University had a killing... gunman still at large. Another example of why our right to self defense cannot be taken away by the gun grabbers.
Ping on concealed carry on campus.
Ping for SCCC and those who believe in self-defense
When I attended courses at UCCS, they had a firing range on the campus for the police trainees. Are they under different restrictions?
I would want to see a CCW requirement that carry be on the body or not at all. I think the ‘backpack’ location is trouble waiting to happen. Carry in clothing that cannot be removed without violating indecency laws.
I agree. Its on your body or prepared to be “exposed”
