Morons.
Another “feel good” survey
I wonder what percentage of the 56 said yes just to feel “compassionate” and “caring” when interviewed by a stranger, who will report the responses.
Fifty-four percent (54%) believe that its already possible for just about any good student to find a way to attend college
So roughly 2% think the government needs to do more to make this possible.....
In other word a majority of students in colleges and universities are wasting their time, their parents money, and in many cases the tax payers money.
Not every American should have a college degree, they have the right to seek a degree but it is not a right to have it.
This is not meant as an insult, but not everyone is college material. For some, they simply are not intellectually equipped. Others have no interest in most of the material offered in university and only want the knowledge and skills necessary to get a job and there is nothing wrong with that. I DO think that people should have some education beyond high scool whether it is vo-tech, an Associate’s Degree, a university education, etc.
Unfortunately, they outnumber us.
I agree.. The sad part is that a lot High schools have gotten rid of vocational training..
The question should have been: “Do you feel that every Congressperson and Senator should read the US Constitution?”
LOL. College is going to be quite a struggle for those who cannot read.
Why? You want the education, it's free - just go get it. From the local library (which can order practically any book for you free) to a full degree program at MIT (see ocw.mit.edu - certification costs extra though), if you want an education it's there for the taking.
Unfortunately, way too many people think others should pay the way of students who don't know what they want to learn at an institution that they "want" (for lack of any objective reason to attend) and think professors exist to force an education into unwilling minds.
Incurring debt to attend a university is a sign you're doing it wrong.
That is very sad indeed.
Most of that 56% could neither get in to, nor matriculate, without government help. AND I don’t just mean financial aid.
Devalue education ...
Since you learn nothing in public school 1-12 grades now, why not continue the scam. People are being robbed of their reasoning ability by polluting and corrupting their fact base. It’s what the progressives want, a bunch of morons.
I believe that every American should receive a good high school education.
We’ll see who gets their wish first.
There are already a lot of college students who don’t belong in college—they have neither the aptitude nor the motivation to reach the level of education that a college degree should represent. But college administrators want to keep them because they contribute to revenue...so the value of a diploma gets dumbed down. Obama would make things even worse.
Fifty-six percent are wrong. But then again, when the Community College becomes High-School II the Sequel, an awful lot of jobs can be created with administration, faculty, and textbooks. Does anybody know how much money the textbook companies, K thru 12, make? I bet it’s a whole bunch - not that there’s anything wrong with that.
