For the same reason the founders decided to include the fifth amendment in the bill of rights: they saw it IS definitely possible to be asked a question that can be used to condemn you however you answer it.
For example, when Jesus was asked “is it lawful to pay taxes [to Caesar]?” They were laying a trap for him; if he said that it was then the nationalists would be angry at him for accepting/encouraging/endorsing Roman rule, whereas if he had said that it was not he would surely have been hauled before the Roman authorities under the charge of sedition.
The answer he DID give, however, was masterful and wise: “Render unto God what is God’s and unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.”
(Note, he didn’t say that you were supposed to get screwed-over; as corruption was a common thing among tax-collectors.)

Carrie has judged this AFTER the facts have been thrown in her face for years and years.

If my sexual proclivities were central aspects and drives in my life ... and yet every living thing I see, from my parents to my pets to my houseplants is part of a design of life that my inclinations drive me away from, then perhaps I would lash out and demand not just that everyone accept me or tolerate me, but that they celebrate my lifestyle, and in every way equate it with theirs ... In this way I am able to subsume my obvious deviance from the patterns of life ... and if they don't assuage me, I will unleash my existential fury upon them without restraint.

I took a poll of my coworkers and they said they would support the resettlement of Carrie Prejean here in East Tennessee. She could be free from the homo harrassment there in California. If she could cook grits she’d fit in real nice here in conservative country.
The reason I think that is, why has none of his sex partners have come forward. You would think someone would come forward. His flamboyance is really extreme. It’s obvious that he cannot get a girl.
This whole stunt was a planned ambush by the Gay Mafia to extract an endorsement of gay marriage from an icon of Californian Heterosexuality so they could use it as propaganda in their attempt to overthrow Prop 8
They failed spectacularly and now they are throwing tantrums.
Could it be Miss Prejean happened to get her views on marriage not from whatever happened in her family life but from the Jewish One she says is her Savior?
What part of Matthew 19:4-6 does these folks not understand?
‘4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”’(Matthew 19:4-6).
