Homophobia cannot be caused by these or any other traumas. It is genetically based. A person could no more choose homophobia than they could choose eye color; and why would they choose it, knowing that they stand the chance of being publically reviled, and shunned by family and friends? It is not something a person can expect to “recover” from. Homophobes should be tolerated and accepted, and their civil rights guaranteed.
