WASHINGTON - A large federal security operation is in place to keep tabs on several Guantanamo Bay inmates who may soon be released in Virginia, the Daily News has learned.
A half-dozen ethnic Chinese detainees known as Uyghurs will be flown by marshals from the U.S. naval base in Cuba to live in the Washington suburbs if lingering legal, logistical and political problems are ironed out, government officials said Thursday.
Some lawmakers and counter-terror officials worry about terrorists living next door. Northern Virginia was chosen because it has an Uyghur Muslim community that could help the ex-prisoners adjust.

I think the Gitmo detainees should be sent to Hollyweird and to Marin County and required to live at Sean Penn’s house. He’s probably very lonely after separating from his wife Robin Wright-Penn.
Do they get to live and earn a living in the US? Do they have visas? Work permits? What the h3ll??
Seems a bit racist to me. They must be put with their kind. Would it not be better to throw them into some small southern town with no Muslim population. We want them to assimilate, not stay separate as they do in Europe.

Cool, let's pay for 10, 12, 15 (or 20, maybe?) highly trained agents for each terrorist to watch every move he makes. It'll only cost the taxpayer a small fortune. But who cares? What's money, anyway?

And likely they’ll be voting in November in the gubernatorial election... probably NOT for Bob McDonnell.
