President Barack Obama has accepted the resignation of an official who authorized the presidential aircraft flyover in lower Manhattan last month, CBS 2 has learned.
Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, handed in his resignation Friday. The news comes as Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the Air Force flyover that sparked a panic was not adequately reviewed and approved by senior service and department officials.
The flyover was arranged as part of a photo opportunity for White House records. The official photo was released along with Caldera's resignation and the official report on the flyover.

I’m more concerned about the INSIDE of the aircraft.
Particularly, the pics of Jay-Z and Ludicrus spraying Crystal all over the Multi-Function Displays of the cockpit.
You have got to be kidding.

What upsets me is that, with all the b.s. about carbon footprints and global warming going from the Left, there’s no outcry about this blatant waste of fuel.
You know, the photo almost looks like AF1 is taking a dump on the Statue of Liberty which is probably not the symbolism Obama wanted but it more true thatn anyone cares to admit.
Now, if it had been stages so AF1 was taking a dump on Wall Street, that would have been even more perfect.
Coverup for a bioweapon dispersal test run appears to be
much more likely given that stupid photo.
You can’t really even see the Statue of Liberty in that photo. Someone’s pulling our leg.
So why then did the plane buzz NYC if this was the picture they were going for? (A picture which sucks BTW)

Not to nit-pick, but AF2 is the Veeps plane when he is on board.
I repeat, I WANT my money back!
