So I should probably use Montana. If it is made in Montana, purchased in Montana and remains in Montana, there is no reason the federal government should have any regulation on that gun.

Didn't California or Oregon try to do much the same, only it was marijuana, not arms?

Ever hear of the Guns and Dope Party? They say that if all the 2nd amendmentb advocates and marijuana reformers joined forces they could sway every election.

Yes. It was California. Liberal judges on the Supreme Court upheld the Feds, citing interstate commerce clause. Justice Thomas and other conservative judges dissented. Thomas wrote great opinion pretty much saying that if you would use the interstate commerce clause then it could be applied to virtually anything. Since this was about pot, it really shows that for the libs it really is all about more power. They'll interpret the constitution in the most tortuous way possible to take power away from the states and the people.
