Not to stick up for President Clueless but most Americans today are even stupider than he is when it comes to European history...or American history for that matter.
The next time you read one of your children’s history text books make sure you have a barf bag beside you.
I remember going through one of my son’s old history text books and there was nothing in there to indicate that European explorers discovered and civilized North America.
Not a word about the great English, Dutch, French and Italian explorers who opened the New World and not a sentence about the heroic Conquistadors and Spanish explorers.

And few are good at English. ;-)
