I think the reason only one photo was released, will be because the “subject” of most of the photos or film will be AF1 flying in close formation with the “Red Tail” jet.
That was the entire point of the flyover, IMHO. Probably to put at the end of the “Red Tails” movie.
I agree that the flight was probably for the movie, but wouldn’t this require that there be another plane somewhere filming the flight?
And my other question is who got off the plane in Atlantic City.
They obviously didn’t spend $300,000 just to get a snapshot taken by an escort pilot through his canopy, which is clearly what the photo they “released” was. I suspect that it’s probably not permitted for pilots to take photos like that, although they probably all do it, and one of the delays was probably convincing the pilots that they wouldn’t get into trouble for turning over their photos. Any opinions on this from more knowledgeable folks (people who’ve been in the AF, for example)?
