I don’t know how accurate this is by it looks as if they did after all:

301st Fighter Squadron

Lineage: Constituted 301st Fighter Squadron 4 July 1942. Activated on 13 October 1942. Inactivated on 19 October 1945. Activated on 1 July 1947. Inactivated on 1 July 1949.
