Sen. John McCain pushes for GOP inclusiveness [open to abortion, gay marriage?] [bashes Toomey]
Politico ^ | 2009-05-11 | Patrick O'Connor

Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his party needs to be “inclusive” without betraying its “fundamental principles.”

. . . . .

Asked if being inclusive meant welcoming candidates and voters who support abortion rights or gay marriage, McCain said: “It means that we can have people in our party who do not have the same views on specific issues, as long as we share common principles.”

“We have to understand that maybe a candidate that can win in one part of our country, like the South, may not be able to get elected in Pennsylvania,” he said.

In other words, "old Yellow Stain" thinks Toomey can't beat Specter! What a bastard!

“In other words, “old Yellow Stain” thinks Toomey can’t beat Specter! “

In a general election, he may not.
Toomey is great, but Specter will not be an easy opponent in PA.

Spincter will not be running against Toomey, it is going to be the governor (Obama cannot win PA because he is black) Ed Rendell.

McCain didn’t loose because enough conservatives didn’t vote. He lost because enough conservatives didn’t vote for him.

I don’t think the Republican party should be taking advice from McCain. I have never seen such a poorly run campaign in my lifetime! He was a mess! He needs to be LISTENING instead of giving advice!

His time in the Senate needs to be over. Arizonans, time to pick a new Republican Senator.

how soon McCain forgets WHY he lost. He’d better worry about still being a Senator after the 2010 election in Arizona.

The Dems are working hard to get the Republican party in a shambles. They want us to split, so that they can continue to rule. The Dems know that their time is short and they will use all they can to solidify their power hold.

We can not let them. We must be strong, and beat them; or we will all be in ‘reeducation camps’ in 4 years. This is not a joke. We have to unify and defeat these dems. We must, it is our duty to this nation. Defend and protect the constitution. To do that, we MUST beat the dems. Not with more liberals....but also, we must STAY in the party; and speak up on the issues.

Dear Senator McStain:

We thought you had learned something when you chose Sarah Palin to complete your ticket.

We thought you actually got smart when you went elsewhere and sent her to campaign for her in southwest Pennsylvania and we were one of the precious few areas of the country which actually gave you better margins of victory than we gave to G.W. Bush in 2004.

However, it is painfully apparent that you've learned nothing. So concentrate on winning your own damn primary (if you must run for re-election) and stop giving advice to us here on the ground in Pennsylvania.

Q. Why doesn’t GOP leadership reach out to conservative Democrats rather than liberal moderates?

A. Because liberal moderates also believe in ‘common principles’ like exporting factories, jobs and dollars.

"In other words, the Republicans should be demoncrat lite on social issues."

So I wonder how he expects that to happen, and not betray the party's fundamental principles. I compromised my principles and voted for the McCain/Palin ticket, only because of Sarah. I'll never vote for another RINO candidate again.

how many homosexual advocates or advocate groups have given to McCain’s country first pac? How many gave mccain money in exchange for him using his daughter and campaign manager to endorse homosexuals’ lifestyle choice?

McCain wants money. the end.

We haven't gotten very far with the Rinos disenfranchising conservative Republicans in the primaries, putting in their RINO-approved moderates like McCain , who lost even with the help of his faithful valet Lindsey.

Colin Powell is the one who should get the boot. And if he and his ilk retain their influence, real republicans should just leave. A solid constitutional party that opposes foreign adventurism would attract disaffected independents you claim to represent.

You mean a party like the Constitution Party? They didn’t even get 200,000 votes. Independents obviously aren’t looking for the swill they are selling: Ron Paul’s foreign policy + a Tancredo/Hunter immigration policy.
