Sen. John McCain said Sunday that his party needs to be inclusive without betraying its fundamental principles.
. . . . .
Asked if being inclusive meant welcoming candidates and voters who support abortion rights or gay marriage, McCain said: It means that we can have people in our party who do not have the same views on specific issues, as long as we share common principles.

In other words, "old Yellow Stain" thinks Toomey can't beat Specter! What a bastard!
“STFU, John. You’ve cost us quite enough already”

“In other words, “old Yellow Stain” thinks Toomey can’t beat Specter! “
In a general election, he may not.
Toomey is great, but Specter will not be an easy opponent in PA.
Spincter will not be running against Toomey, it is going to be the governor (Obama cannot win PA because he is black) Ed Rendell.
McCain didn’t loose because enough conservatives didn’t vote. He lost because enough conservatives didn’t vote for him.
Go straight to hell John, and take your fat daughter with you.
I have a great idea. Lets look to our biggest loser for guidance.
Yeah, that’s the ticket!
I don’t think the Republican party should be taking advice from McCain. I have never seen such a poorly run campaign in my lifetime! He was a mess! He needs to be LISTENING instead of giving advice!
His time in the Senate needs to be over. Arizonans, time to pick a new Republican Senator.
should say Sphincter.
John McPowell
how soon McCain forgets WHY he lost. He’d better worry about still being a Senator after the 2010 election in Arizona.
In other words, the Republicans should be demoncrat lite on social issues. Yeah, that is a winning strategy. A third party is coming for conservatives and coming fast.
The Dems are working hard to get the Republican party in a shambles. They want us to split, so that they can continue to rule. The Dems know that their time is short and they will use all they can to solidify their power hold.
We can not let them. We must be strong, and beat them; or we will all be in ‘reeducation camps’ in 4 years. This is not a joke. We have to unify and defeat these dems. We must, it is our duty to this nation. Defend and protect the constitution. To do that, we MUST beat the dems. Not with more liberals....but also, we must STAY in the party; and speak up on the issues.
So the one party rule will be the party of depravity?
Why would anyone vote for that who doesn’t want it?
Will these old, old men never move aside.
The Republican party is hugely top heavy with
old sick men.
Since when was McCain relevant?
I just received an invitation to join Sen McCain and Meg for a meet and greet in OC, California.
Meg is looking to run for Governor next year.
No one should be surprised when you get s*** from an a******.
We thought you had learned something when you chose Sarah Palin to complete your ticket.
We thought you actually got smart when you went elsewhere and sent her to campaign for her in southwest Pennsylvania and we were one of the precious few areas of the country which actually gave you better margins of victory than we gave to G.W. Bush in 2004.
However, it is painfully apparent that you've learned nothing. So concentrate on winning your own damn primary (if you must run for re-election) and stop giving advice to us here on the ground in Pennsylvania.
Who would vote for a phony Democrat when you can vote for a real one (many times)?
Q. Why doesn’t GOP leadership reach out to conservative Democrats rather than liberal moderates?
A. Because liberal moderates also believe in ‘common principles’ like exporting factories, jobs and dollars.
So I wonder how he expects that to happen, and not betray the party's fundamental principles. I compromised my principles and voted for the McCain/Palin ticket, only because of Sarah. I'll never vote for another RINO candidate again.
follow the money.
how many homosexual advocates or advocate groups have given to McCain’s country first pac? How many gave mccain money in exchange for him using his daughter and campaign manager to endorse homosexuals’ lifestyle choice?
McCain wants money. the end.
“...Arizonans, time to pick a new Republican Senator.”
As a voter of Arizona I couldn’t agree more!
John, would you mind explaining what you mean by "principles," since you seem to think it's OK to compromise on absolutely everything?
Just give the RINOs one more chance, this time they'll do it right.
Since when do losers get to pick the next move?
My Dear Mr. McCain, you had your chance to lead the GOP. You failed. Now go pound sand, please.
What "principles" does McCain have? Other than "say whatever it takes to remain in office and be a media darling," I haven't seen many.
Face it McCain...You’re a broken, hand shy, has-been.
We don’t need a suit from a can, life sized poster, as the face of the Republican Party, ready to crumple for the Dems on cue. .
No more chances
Since Nixon
Meg Whitman was caught on tape at the White House Correspondents Dinner laughing her head off at tasteless jokes about Rush Limbaugh (being the 20th hijacker/oxycontin). She’s another big-government Pete Wilson puppet. If folks liked Arnold, they’ll love Meg!
Why, oh why, do they keep pushing these liberals? (rhetorical)
Are you sure that there isn't enough room for just one more knife in your back?
juan mclame = stinking RINO
This is what “moderating” your views looks like. It was his campaign strategy last year.
He’s getting worse not better. And he’s too stupid to know the Dems still don’t respect him.
“Inclusive” as in the way I describe McCain: War Hero AND all-around DOUCHE BAG!
Never ever trust a person who would throw his own running mate under the bus for his own gain, never ever.
McCain is like a stinking odor of pinto-bean induced excrement that just won’t quite go away. Every time you think it has stopped he just fouls the air all over again.
If the GOP wants to follow McCain off this cliff ? I will not be jumping with them .
I doubt he has much to worry about. The people of Arizona will end up reelecting him as they have been doing for years.
If conservatives can’t regain power in the GOP, they will never get anywhere with a third party. Whether conservatives like it or not, they are stuck with the GOP.
I like when people like you try to tell conservatives who they are stuck with. It’s obvious you’re not a conservative since you used the word “they” instead of “we”. Maybe you are “stuck” with a party, but I’m not.
Arizona .....The founder of the Minutmen Chris Simcox has announced he will run for McCains Senate seat in 2010......anti Illegal Immigration may take the seat.
You didn’t address the main content of my post.
Simcox has quite enough baggage of his own.
Colin Powell is the one who should get the boot. And if he and his ilk retain their influence, real republicans should just leave. A solid constitutional party that opposes foreign adventurism would attract disaffected independents you claim to represent.
You mean a party like the Constitution Party? They didn’t even get 200,000 votes. Independents obviously aren’t looking for the swill they are selling: Ron Paul’s foreign policy + a Tancredo/Hunter immigration policy.
I think a third party might get enough votes for RINOs to feel the pain.
