My wife's (government) office just hired a new woman. Within the first week of her employment she declared she needed special furniture and computer equipment to accommodate her disabilities (a problem that was not apparent or discussed during her interviews).

The very next week (week 2!) she declared she was pregnant (not showing) and that hopefully this pregnancy will go ok as two others were pretty rocky.

The VERY next day after announcing she was pregnant, she called in sick.

They've already written her off for the next year and even though she's on probation (like all new employees) my wife doesn't think they'll take the chance of dumping her. Even without her various maladies she's already shown not to be capable of working up to her resume.
